Modern Coffee

Stopped in for the first time today to this amazing coffee shop! The atmosphere was great and the barista working was so friendly and provided fantastic service despite the bit of a lineup. I decided to try the Smoked Tea Latte and wow it was incredible! It is a tough one to describe my best attempt would be similar to a London fog but with a strong flavour of a perfectly toasted marshmallow over a campfire. Definitely plan on coming back to sample something from the coffee side of the menu next time but I think it will have a tough time topping this stellar tea!

A wonderful little independent coffee shop. A nice assortment of teas and coffees, along with pastries and snacks. Modern is my go to coffee place whenever I’m in Winnipeg

I always enjoy stopping in here for a coffee and pastry. The owner is friendly and her staff do a good job. I recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already. Buy a shirt, check out the vintage Garnet amps, stay for the ambience, etc. etc.. It is really nice.

Allison has created an incredibly friendly, eclectic environment with great coffees, desserts & teas - the Matcha is out of this world!! Clients may bring instruments for an on the spot jam! The whole place is so darn warm & friendly....I've had as much fun talking to random coffee fans as I have chatting with the ever gregarious Allison! 5 Stars & 2 Up!!! Kid-friendliness: Customers bring their children; the children are always happy!

Beautiful, great atmosphere, cortado was great. The barista was wonderful and answered my silly questions with a really positive energy I do not know very much about coffee. Wifi handled 1080p streaming video pretty well. Clientele was very happy. I was there to study, it was a comfortable experience. Even had some locally made and individually packaged dog biscuits on sale which I was happy to purchase. Kid-friendliness: Staff really seemed to like kids and went out of their way to interact with them a bit to make them comfortable.

A really cozy place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Super kid friendly and the staff are very nice. The design is so unique and unlike anything I've seen and I love it. Another great bonus is if you bring your own cup, you get a discount on your drink. This is my go-to coffee shop and I could, and have spent hours there relaxing and enjoying the space.

Excellent! Best spot in the neighborhood hands down. The egg nog latte was amazing and the cafe had plenty of character. Didn't have the opportunity to try any of the snacks but they all looked delicious. Highly recommended!

This gem of a coffeeshop in the north end serves great coffee! I just wish it was open later a few nights but am happy the owner has work /life balance Food: 5/5
