[UPDATE] I originally gave De Gaspé a rating of 1 star. I just received a follow-up message that was much more apologetic for the inconvenience and also makes the attempt to mend the customer service experience. I stand by my comment, but I would say that I would have given a 5 star rating had this level of care been provided from the beginning. [ORIGINAL POST] Ordered an item on September 11 and waited for close to 4 weeks for the item. Went to the store 2 weeks after the order thinking that the item was available (given that it was indicated on the site that it would be available within 48 hours) only to be told that the item was on back order that they would be calling me back within the week to confirm. Two weeks later: no call. Called today only to be told that - conveniently - they just received the order yesterday, but they have not had the chance to call their customers. Asked for a refund, but apparently it is done by cheque... They appear to have a great product offering, but they really need to work on their client experience, follow through with their promises and manage their customers' expectations. I always try to support local businesses, but I don't think this one will be one of them in the future.

I absolutely love my de Gaspé furniture! Their solid wood and great designs are timeless. I constantly get compliments on the walnut tv stand and coffee table I have. Thank you de Gaspé!
