Sushi was very good, side dishes were a hit or miss. I’d focus on the sushi moreso because it tastes flavorful, and they had fun combinations. The vegetable sauté dish was absolutely disgusting and it was 95% just bean sprouts and tasted like dirty water. The desserts are mostly extra $$ so that was disappointing.
Very fresh sushi, they added new varieties and more “torched” sushi. The shrimp tempura were so crispy. The attention of all the servers is great. It’s been a while since we didn’t eat so well!
So I’m torn because the food was good, not great, not memorable, but good. The food came pretty quickly too, despite a full house. The waiter explained everything to us, not overly friendly or even with much of a smile, but well explained. 50$ a person on a Saturday night, tip included. After waiting in the freezing cold 10 minutes we were escorted to the back of the restaurant. Our seating was covered in cables from a heater and the seat was ripped on both benches. A little run down & right beside the bathroom that didn’t have a door, just a piece of cloth. Not sure what’s up with that! We were offered complimentary tea, I believe, because of the heater situation. Which was a nice gesture. So I see this place more of a younger crowd vibe. I guess I expected it to be a bit more fancy. It was good, but no repeat customer in me.
Food: Quality was ok. However, tempura were a bit undercooked. Sweet potato tempura was little hard in the middle. I found they cut the veggies little bit too thick. Personally, I prefer thinner and crispier. It will be better if they offer seaweed salad.nService: Some staffs were nice while some were ok. They missed one dish of our order at the end as they claimed that we didn't ordered. However, it was shown on our order history. Was it the problem of their app or they tried to limit the amount of the order? Not sure.nAtmosphere: It was quite busy even in the weekdays lunch hour. I personally don't like loud music in the restaurant. But it was ok.nConclusion is fair pricelunch time fair quality.
We checked out Mitsuki for their all-you-can-eat sushi since the kids are getting into it. It's a bit pricey, with kids paying half of the adult price of $43.45, which can add up quickly for bigger families. Plus, there's an 18% gratuity for groups of five or more. The sashimi selection is limited, but the menu has a bit of everything. Service is quick, and we ate to our heart's content. Ice cream is included in the price, even though it's not on the menu. There's plenty of parking, so we finished up and rolled out of there happy and full.
