Clean, well-organized thrift store with friendly staff and fair prices. A great place to find unique items while supporting a good cause.
I have been living in Canada for 4 years now... I go to this store every week at least once a week, but sometimes more. I regularly make donations. And I also recommend all my friends and acquaintances to go and also give things. And then this, when I wanted to buy a bag of things for $ 5 they didn’t want to sell it to me, they said that it was very full, but I could take the bag and go with my hands... I have already bought more than once under this promotion and I have always had such bags and there have never been any complaints about me. This really spoiled my mood, I will also tell all my friends and acquaintances about this negative experience and in my blog. And now I don’t know when I will want to go there again... It’s not about the amount, but about how this woman communicated with me without arguments there are no rules anywhere on how the bag should be... + I always take somewhere else in addition to this bag. Now I do not recommend coming here. nCity Langleynthis used to be my most favorite store. But this woman changed everything... I hope the store and she were satisfied
I usually really enjoy this store - great prices on almost everything.nnMy husband unfortunately got hurt so I went in for crutches, and air cast and shower chair. Items I see all the time.nnAir cast $5 - awesomenCrutches - the ones I wanted didn't have a price but all the other ones said $5.nShower chair - $25?!?!nnI was stickers shocked at the fact a used shower chair was $25. I was thinking like $15 max. That seemed a little extreme but w.e I left it.nnThen when I went to pay the cashier asked for a price check on the crutches even though I told her the other ones. The women next or her said $10, that they are all $10. Thats double what all the others were labeled, unfortunately my husband needs them to walk so I had to pay. It left a bad taste in my mouth.nnNever the less l still shop here but I will no longer try to purchase anything without a tag as apparently staff just make up prices.
Beware.nnThe donation drop-off felt more like a resale scouting area. A group of men who had a van parked at the donation lane approached me, asking about my items, and staff stood by and said nothing. When I talked to them about it, one of the staff members seemed to encourage it. I stood my ground on the items getting into the store.nnI donated a large load thinking it would support a reputable organization and help others, not end up cherry-picked in the parking lot. I could’ve sold it myself but chose to give in good faith. I would have liked to see it get out to the floor so others can enjoy the shopping experience.nnI’ve always appreciated this location and their fair prices, but after this unsettling experience, I’m seriously questioning their honesty.
I’ve been to Mission Thrift Store 3 times in the past few months. I’m always so impressed by how well laid out, clean, creatively styled and welcoming this store is. The prices are so good and lower than most thrift stores that I go to. The quality and selection of clothing, accessories, books, shoes, housewares and more are always very good. Each time I’ve left with great finds and am surprised by how little it costs. I highly recommend this place!
