I have been a volunteer at the Food Bank at Mission Services multiple times, and I'm always so impressed with the care and dedication of all the staff I've interacted with. It's a wonderful organization that helps so many in need here in Hamilton.
I was told by staff at this Foodbank that they prefer large families and because I am single and on ODSP I am not their prefered demographic. Which is a shame as the foodbank is more organized, and provides better selection than the other foodbanks in the city.
Very helpful with giving canned goods, fresh produce, some dairy and cereal. Just watch for expiry dates.
Went all the way there to find note on door saying closed Thursday! Would've been nice to hear that on their phone message and website.
Closed on a Sunday.. when most people are off work. During holidays? That's crazy! Value village is making a killing rn.. this place is closed lmao
