Many thanks Angelica and Dawson at the Minden Foodland Deli for the best ever Classic Dagwood assorted sandwiches! We called in our order of 7 whole loaves an hour ahead of our arrival. Angelica was very helpful and superb to deal with over the phone! Freshly made with LOTS of meat 4 kinds with all the trimmings! Massive sandwiches made perfectly for hungry construction appetites! They had them all ready for our pick-up as promised. Our company is working in the area and this was the best company lunch yet! We had enough leftovers for our guys lunch the next day too! MANY THANKS again Angelica and Dawson for all your friendly help, GREAT experience! Looking forward to doing it all over again soon! Cheers, Krista and Corey
As good as you'll get in cottage country. For fresh fruits and veggies I recommend the fruit and veggie market, and for meats I prefer coneybeares butcher, but for everything else, Foodland covers it. Will say, they do have fresh bread which is nice to get in cottage country.
Ordered a cake for a 85th birthday and the cake was awesome! The decorating was awesome. The cake was nice and moist and not sicky sweet. Soooo good and looked beautiful! They even gave us a birthday card signed by the staff! Thank you so much!!
We've been shopping there for many years. They have a wide selection of produce. The bakery is a nice touch. Great deli counter.
This is a corrupt store that has used Covid as excuse to jack their prices so high to line the owners pockets, who hide in the back of the store.. Many of the same items at No Frills are half the price as Foodland, as No Frills also suffered with higher food costs but have not become unreasonable in their costing. I know of many people now who used to shop at Foodland Minden, but now drive to Basic foods in Lindsay so they dont feel ripped off. Even with the high price of gas, its still cheaper to drive to Lindsay to shop. I only by the odd item now at this store, and no longer do my full shopping at Foodland Minden. Shame on you Foodland for gouging the locals!!!
If you're looking for groceries in Minden, this is the place to go. For out-of-towners I would recommend picking up produce in the GTA as produce can be pretty expensive out in cottage country. Meat prices are pretty much on par though.

The staff are great - very friendly and helpful. I was also very impressed with their covid protocols. I love shopping local and try my best to support this store but my only complaint is that their produce is consistently very poor. Often what is on display I wouldn't purchase, and I've many times brought home I something I thought was okay and ended up throwing it out. Sadly, I often go to a different store when I have to purchase produce and they lose my business then.
