Good for dine in sushi in town. Has a nice atmosphere with fun little booths. Sushi quality is above average though maybe you won't find it compares to your favorite sushi joint in Vancouver or Victoria. Has what I would call a "full" variety of Japanese food on their menu. Staff are very friendly, but this place is swamped on popular evenings so expect to take a little more time when ordering here on a Friday or Saturday.
Our favourite sushi restaurant in town. The caterpillar roll is a standout hit. They do seem to get a bit overwhelmed sometimes, so I've had a few times where I've had to wait an extra 15 mins or so after the estimated pick-up time. Also, while the sushi is definitely good, it doesn't quite hold up when compared against some of the places in Vancouver. It's still good though, and I'll keep going back for more.
Our wonderful server suggested that the 2 of us ordered plenty of food, "That's okay, you take it home!" She said. We ate every grain of rice and almost the green plastic leaf divider!cost was very appropriate $Food: 4/5

Minato's is an amazing sushi restaurant, out of all the sushi restaurants I have been too wether it be Vancouver, Vancouver Island or anywhere else I have been it is the best. If you're craving sushi or love it just as much as I do, you will not be disappointed!
Price is in line with the cost of food, fresh and very tasty with great service. I will eat there again.
Minato is excellent. They have amazing quality and service. I always get the Chicken Teriyaki and my wife gets the Sushi. Sometimes I like a little more rice so I get an extra rice. Nothing bad to say at all about this business.
I've loved Minato Sushi since they first arrived in Powell River. Their service is consistently good as is their menu and food preparation. Staff are well versed in information on their menu and their service is polite and accurate.
Good food. However, I had to wait 45 mins after being seated to get my order! It took forever and very slow service
