This was a great find! We decided to try a new restaurant for the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and this one caught my eye. While they were not participating in the fixed menu the night we went....we were more than happy to order several items on the menu to share. Everything was delicious! The homemade pasta was outstanding, flavoring spot on, and such a variety to choose from. We will definitely be returning.
One word: WOW! The food is Italian at its finest. Really tasty, hearty, and heavy. Fried, truffle, and buttery goodness all around. I would also recommend their great prefix lunch special where you get an app, entree, and dessert. Order the chickpeas and finish with the pistachio gelato.
I have been a patron of Mima for a number of years dining there a couple of times a month . For the most part visits with my wife have been quite enjoyable. Friendly atmosphere nice staff good food and wine. I wish I could say that about my visit this past Friday. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a hostess that I have never seen there before. She was rude from the get go. Although the restaurant was 80% empty at about 6:00 we were advised that the all tables were reserved and if we wanted to dine we would have to sit outdoors. She said there was a party in the back so seating was limited. The weather was not too bad at that point so we stayed. After dining for about 2 hours with the weather getting cooler we decided to leave. At this point the restaurant was still more than half empty. I mentioned this to the hostess who again rudely advised me that people had called about their lateness and would be arriving. Two hours later! My wife then approached the manager who again rudely explained that he was too busy with the party in the back. Now I understand if you have a party and reservations you need to make do with whatever is available. However when your restaurant is still 60% empty upon our departure they could have at least given us the option of having to be out at a certain time instead of resorting to the street. Also upon complaining to the management they could have at least apologized and maybe offered us a drink at the bar instead of being rude, and telling us he was busy with the party, as if regular customers don't matter. It's a shame and disappointing since it is a restaurant we like to frequent and now will have a difficult time in going back. I have told this story to a number of friends who dine out frequently and were all very surprised by this attitude. Spreading bad news is never good for business. Party or no party.
Came here for the first time on a date. The atmosphere was perfect, the service was quick, and not too overbearing. The espresso martini's are delicious. The food was absolutely amazing. The desert is also great if you have a sweet tooth. The price was reasonable. Definitely will be back. I would recommend reservation.
This is one the best Italian restaurants in the area! It is so consistent. Wonderful service and excellent food every time. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic. The prices are very reasonable. There's free parking right outside! Irvington is a lovely village. This is a must-go!
We reserved the back room for a milestone bday party and had a wonderful time. Arturo helped us along the way and made our special day extraordinary! We loved the food, the service, and the decor. We highly recommend hosting an event here or grabbing food. The attention to detail is fantastic. Our guest had a wonderful time, and we will be back

Walked into Mimas on Halloween for a spontaneous anniversary dinner with my beautiful bride of 29 years. They were packed, reservations only. Owner said, wait, let me see what I can do. 3 minutes later we were sitting ordering drinks and apps. The food was phenomenal, the staff was courteous and attentive, the atmosphere was hopping, and the wine selection is amazing. If I could give them 20 stars I would. Even the vegan panna cotta was delicious.
We had a great evening at Mima Vinoteca. Even during COVID the indoor and outdoor seating is great. The team is fantastic, super attentive and nice. Drinks are hand crafted and delicious as is the food. We had some risotto balls, gnocchi and some other dished - so much flavour! You will not be disipointed. Also order the cheesecake, it's has a creme brulee topping.
Love this place. Great daily and happy hour specials. Great deals on good wine, especially on Wednesday when you get half off a bottle. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.
