We love heading here for a family date night, especially during "Glow Bowl". We had my sons bday party here, and the kids all had a blast, and it was so easy to just show up, and everything was done. My son has also joined the children's bowling league! YBC is a wonderful program to be apart of, and its so nice to have it in our community.
Great family friendly place, with 10 lanes to play. A few "bumper" lanes that make it more fun for kids, so they don't get all the gutter balls. Also a pool and air hockey table.
We’ve been going to Millenium for years, and the decor hasn’t changed once lol It’s a fun little local spot, clean, and staff are friendly. The pins are a little slow to load/reset. The decor is in desperate need of a reno. We’ve had a couple birthdays here over the years and it was always fun and the kids always loved it. Overall, still a fun family outing!
We went here on a Saturday night and we’re assigned lane 5. The back pin was not registering when it was knocked over. We spoke with one of the employees and she said that it was a software issue and was not a quick fix. We continued to play for another couple of minutes when the lane froze. We went to speak with the employee at the front area and asked for a refund. At this point we had played in our lane for a total of 14 minutes. She said she would give us a refund but only refunded us 75% of our 50 dollars to play. We explained to her that wasn’t fair as our entire game wasn’t scoring properly. She ended up refunding us the 50 dollars for the hour but not our shoe rental. She was not happy with us and seemed more concerned about how the owner was going to react. Very surprised that these small local businesses don’t take care of their customers anymore. We won’t be back.
This was my first trip to Millennium lanes. I am happy to have an easily accessible bowling alley right here in Okotoks, however this 5 pin bowling alley is in some serious need of a renovation. The bowling experience itself was perfect and the staff were friendly. Overall, the aesthetics just need some improvement to implement a comfortable and enjoyable environment. I found it difficult to bowl with content when surrounded by very dirty outdated carpets and unkempt retro designs. Don’t get me wrong, I love the retro vibe of the place! I think it’s the perfect thing for a bowling alley! It’s just- unkempt retro really just means old, and dusty.
The lane we were assigned was not working, not registering knocking down pins, wouldn’t let you get strikes, spares, or counting of one of the pins at any time, and was constantly freezing making us sacrifice a ball to get it started again. We informed the staff of our problem and she said she can’t fix it as it takes an hour and a half. She said she would give us a “credit” to come back another day and did not want to give us a refund. We told her that wasn’t going to work for us as it’s not fair to pay full price, not be able to play today and have to leave and come back another time. She rudely threw down “45 minutes” worth of money back as we stayed on the lane for “15 minutes. “ She refused to give us our shoe rental money back but we left with the lane fee returned to us, reluctantly. This staff member was very rude and offended that we were not satisfied and complained that she had to explain this to her manager tomorrow.
The only thing I can say is that you can't wear your shoes inside the place, so if you are in the bathroom that's a bit disgusting! Other than their bathroom's nice bowling lanes!
It's a fun place. We had fun playing bowling for an hour. Responsible pricing.
We had fun. This was an unplanned afternoon of family bowling. The bowling alleys are well kept and in good shape. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It cost 7 of us $108 for one lane and shoe rentals for two hours of bowling. Our second game was played under black lights which added a very fun and trippy affect to the game. It has been a very long time since I have been at a 5 pin bowling alley and we are already planning another family outing at Millennium Lane.
Great family experience. They offer very few food options so come with a full belly. Great five pin bowling! I've also seen multiple birthday party's every time I was there. Might be a good option for those interested.
