Mile One Eating House is comfort food done right, without the grease or the guilt. Locally sourced ingredients, all natural beef, and no fillers or seasoning of any kind. No deep fryer in the kitchen because they are adamant on keeping with the west coast healthy lifestyle. We came to Mile One while visiting Pemberton, and would happily travel miles to eat here again! The wait was quite long for our food, however upon receiving my order it was clear as to why that was; everything was fresh. I got the Wildfire burger with the house salad. I was expecting a kick from the smoked cheddar and jalapeno chutney listed on the ingredients, but no fire was present. That said, it was mild and refreshing, with a taste that was deep and bold. The house salad was excellent and the honey vinaigrette was on point, I must say. I enjoyed soaking in the spectacular views of Mt. Currie from the patio. The experience is what boosts my review up to 5 stars. It really is a beautiful spot. Great people working there. I would highly recommend stopping by.
COME. HERE ! We loved this spot. Huge portions. Local & supports local farmers. Has an adorable market. I ordered the Goma Tuna & it was phenomenal. Had poutine my first time here. And it was SMASHING. My friend said it was the. est he had ever had in Canada ! Definitely would stop here and I’ll be back for sure !! Thank You !!
Best brunch restaurant in BC so far! Everything we ordered were excellent and the portion is huge too. Definitely must visit! They should open one branch in Vancouver
Came in to place an order for two burgers and wedges for take out. And the lady then told me it would take 20-25 mins. After 30 mins of waiting I decided to ask a server that was boxing all the food “is it going to take any longer?” And he responded with “your order is right here showing me my order slip and it’ll be close to 35 mins that we mentioned when you ordered”. In total i waited for 45 mins. Food: looked and taste good Place: looked clean and tidy Price: is on the higher side 1 burger $10.75+tax or more and no sides People: don’t communicate properly and have a bit of an attitude I can only assume they’re understaffed? Hopefully if we end up going back here we can try again to see if the experience has changed for the better.
What an absolute gem this place turned out to be. I popped in on a whim as I was looking for a quick lunch and it totally blew me away. I tried the delicious mushroom soup and " the basic" mac and cheese. The food was spectacular as was view of the mountains. They have a wonderful staff member named Leah that so very kind. This is a definite must stop if you're in th neighbourhood, and i highly recommend their mac and cheese.
Had the pemby burger with jalapeno chatny and potato wedges. All three were missing flavour, had to add salt to get some flavour out. They have shelfs with special produce and some meat and cheese. Menu prices are fair.
Fabulous locally sourced food! I got the Mile One burger and a side of wedges. The seasoning is quite distinct and the dip was very creamy. The burger was fantastic with the local meat tasting fresh. Their bacon is also local and thicker than the usual freezer brands. Highly recommended.
ordered mile one burger, mac and cheese and a brownie. the burger was delicious, not oily and i can taste the beef, its not covered with sauce. wanted to try the chowder but it was sold out. The brownie was nice too.
We had the Wildfire spicy and the Hillbilly Deluxe burgers along with some baked potatoes wedges. The buggers were good overall fresh ingredients, tasty sauces but the buns weren't toasted and that was disappointing.Food: 4/5
We enjoyed a fresh flavourful lunch at Mile One Eating House. The sesame crusted tuna sandwich I requested in the lettuce wrap had a great balance of flavours and a generous amount of iceberg lettuce to make it easily handheld, kids thoroughly enjoyed the very saucy Mac and cheese and grilled chicken thigh, husband had a fantastic burger with bacon and blue cheese. Greens salad came with an egg, crisp apple, roasted carrot and a brightly seasoned dressing.
