The food is good and they started out amazing. However, the more I go the less care they put into the food. This is a regular bowl and I’ve gotten one of these before. They charge $12 for the bowl itself and it comes out looking like someone ate half of it. Not only that, but the are becoming EXTREMELY stingy about the quantity. It was never like this. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here as often. Disappointing.
I have ordered delivery a couple times from Miko Poke and it’s been delicious every time. I got a make your own salmon bowl. Delicious! Highly recommend. The spicy aioli, creamy wasabi, and unagi sauce is delicious.Recommended dishesSpicy Aioli
Sorry I ate it before I could get a picture. Very tasty food here. Service was friendly and helpful with the ordering process. Take out orders seem pretty popular but I found eating in very pleasant.
My girlfriend and I have gotten Poke quite a few times from here now. In the past, the food has been great. Usually I get a large and she gets a regular or small. During our last three recent visits, however, the large size bowl has been significantly underfilled. The overall amount of food in the large size has been less than the regular size bowl. The second time it happened, we were dining in. I talked with a staff member and they explained they had run out of rice and that's why it was underfilled. I understand that products run out and sometimes there are shortages, but knowingly under serving and still charging full cost in not ethical. Today, we ordered out. Upon opening our order at home, once again, the large size was significantly underfilled. I've attached a photo of the regular and large sized bowls. The regular is filled well to the brim while the large isn't even close.
Disappointing. I ordered a build your own bowl with the spicy mayo as a sauce, and it was not good to the point where I tossed it after a couple of bites. The ingredients were fine except some mushy brownish avocado I paid extra for, but the sauce was off-putting, especially compared to similar sauces at other poke places. I also ordered a caramelized pineapple shaved ice; it had a really good flavor, but you could hardly taste it because there wasn’t enough syrup. Every other poke place I’ve been to in Madison has been better Poke Poke is my favorite so far.
The food is fresh, quick, and delightful. Many options for personalization of your meal. It can be overwhelming seeing the menu for the first time. A HUGE shout-out to the gentleman taking our order at the counter. The dining area was full at lunchtime, yet the costumer service was outstanding. Without hesitation, our many questions were answered patiently and knowledgeably. Next time I'm trying the habanero carrot hot sauce. I am excited to fill my punch card as soon as possible. Thank you, Miko Poke!
Absolutely delicious. I ordered the Spicy Style house creation and I will definitely be back! I anticipate a food jag, so they might start seeing me every day Food: 5/5
It was okay. I ordered a spicy tuna bowl cali-style and loaded it with volcano sauce hoping for a nice sweet and spicy medley. What I got was a no-spice, no-sweet, vinegarete salad with some seafood in it. Infredients were very fresh. Cool place but I'll have to adjust my expectations if I'm going to return. Vegetarian options: Many veggie bowls and build your own styles. Kid-friendliness: Kid size bowls Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free items and dairy free as well.
Miko Poke is truly a special place in Madison. Since it’s beginning, I have loved coming to the welcoming, refreshing atmosphere with family and friends alike. Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is amazing. Recently, I came with a few friends and was greeted by Maddy, Brenna, Kol, and Ben. From the start of my time there, they were so kind and attentive, and I truly felt like a part of the Miko family.
When I first started going here, portion sizes were great, service was fast, and the food tasted amazing. However, in the past month or so, they have really taken a turn for the worst. I am a nanny and the kid I nanny loves poke. I used to go pick up poke during their nap since Mom wfh. When I go in to pick it up now, though, they refuse to sell it to me unless I "have a kid with me". This is absolutely absurd. I have never been asked at any other restaurant to prove that I "am below 12 or have a child" to get a kids meal think Culver's, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A. If you are going to gatekeep your kids meals why bother selling them? The small bowl is the same size as a kids meal but costs $3 more PLUS it doesn't come with dole whip! And yet they question why people don't want to buy the small bowl... Another complaint: last week I waited 35 minutes to get a small bowl of Poke. Altogether, this place is stingy and way overpriced with awful customer service. I will not be going here again any time soon.
