Wonderful experience right from stepping inside the quaint establishment. Very much a tea room as evident by the plethora of tea pots and cups that decorate the many shelves and window sills. Service was friendly and we felt very welcome. Food was excellent and served in a timely manner. We had the pan fried cod excellent and the bacon wrapped scallops with a side salad. We roped it off with a slice of key lime pie. Definitely A place to go when in bonavista!
Absolutely delicious food, all homemade, many local ingredients. The staff were very helpful, kind, friendly and accommodating to my daughter's food allergy. A sweet place especially for tea and dessert lovers!
It’s my second time coming back on vacation to this charming little town. Everything from the tetley tea to the pea soup was incredible the first time, and it didn’t disappoint the second visit. This is the place to experience what true Newfoundland food tastes like. Cozy, charming and super friendly!! Highly recommend the Newfoundland sampler for those who just can’t decide, won’t be disappointed.
We stopped in to grab a tea to go, but it smelled so good we decided to eat there! So glad we did! Friendly people and the food is amazing! Try the sampler you won’t regret it.

Homemade food at its best!! Small restaurnt and much in demand. Better to reserve if you are visiting as seating is limited! They have limited vegetarian options.
Such a quaint and comfy tea room and restaurant in Bonavista. We went for lunch and were not disappointed with the food or kind, attentive service. The seafood chowder was the best we had the entire trip. We were surprised when we realized it was so dense only because of the amount of fish and seafood it contained and not because of a heavy rue or potato many other restaurants use to thicken their chowders. Simply delicious and filling on its own. We enjoyed our mussels and scallops, too, and the coffee was great.
Big mistake to order roast beef. It was traditional grey / shoe leather and staff thought that ok. Yorkshire pudding not made the right way. Chowder was decent don’t go off grid here .
Had the Best lunch today with Co-Workers and Family. All our food items were delicious- Mussels Marinara, Taco Dip, Fish Cakes, Seafood Chowder & Lemonade. Fantastic & prompt service, Great food, & Nice patio seating. A must!!
We were there for the 1st time to have our lunch. It turned out to be delicious & good, nice & cozy little house with history. The cakes section is even better with tea. We went back the following morning for our breakfast, it was fabulous with reasonable price. We even ordered packed lunch for our hiking. Within the same day, we drove back from Trinity to here to have dinner & finishing with cakes & tea. It is really good place to have good food with reasonable price & with nice people.
