First time I’ve been at the new location and it is hands down amazing. Beautiful spot, tons of sitting space and well lit and decorated. Staff is friendly and greeted me when I walked in. They always serve amazing food. Mikado will always be my favorite sushi spot! Pictured is a half eaten Hurricane and crunch roll, both very delicious!
Sushi was truly spectacular with lots of varieties to select from. Menu contained photos for each item so very helpful in figuring out what you might want to try. Had four different types of sushi, crunchy eel was favorite. Be sure to ask for eel sauce. Japanese themed restaurant though they played American music. Food came out fast. We were the only two in the restaurant, yet waitress was slow on refilling our water. Normally I don't like ginger but their's went well with the sushi. Also had Korean bimbimbap, delicious! Overall highly recommended.
The service was friendly, the environment was clean and decorated aesthetically. The music was interesting i guess- mostly pop hits from the early y2k like katie Perry and taylor swift. some lofi or house music woulda made the environment even better in my opinion. My gf & I ordered right away and our food was ready quickly without any mistakes or miscommunications. Our food was yummy, but my gf is sushi connoisseur & didn't completely love her rolls. I got miso soup and it was just broth with a few cubes of soggy tofu... At other restaurants they usually have more scallions or a bit of seaweed or some sort of additional veggie in the miso soup. My sushi was great- I am vegan so I got the green monster rolls. my gf tried mine and liked mine better than her non-vegan rolls. After we finished eating, we sat for 20 minutes with our waitress not returning to give us the check or give us boxes. I ended up going up to her to pay because we had to leave and were tired of waiting for a full half-hour... She seemed to have gotten busy with helping people take care of their carryout orders, so it felt like the establishment was a bit understaffed.
Servers are super friendly and the sushi is the best I've had in the Lansing area. They also have an awesome lunch special for a bowl of soup and 2 rolls of sushi for like $12! Also, they have a boat of sushi!!
Good food. Staff could be a bit more attentive with drink refills or any needs instead of having to ask each time. Dine in allowed. No covid protocols here. Dinner on Thursday night was easy with little crowd.
Consistently always so good, when I try other sushi takeout it’s not the same as Mikado . Best Philly roll around! The sweet potato roll is also really good. For two people about 3 rolls each, it’s roughly 45$
Really good sushi at a reasonable price. Definitely the best sushi in this area. They have lots of options for different rolls, and bento box's as well as sashimi combos.
I had a really good experience! The staff are courteous and friendly. The Tiger's Eye roll is delicious. I highly recommend!
Pretty shabby for the quality/price of the food. The rolls are good, but not really any better than other places in town. The parking is bad.Food: 4/5
We really enjoyed the sushi. It was clean and flavorful. We had the Mexican roll, the Tiger Eyes, an AAC and a spicy shrimp California. Yummy! Enjoy!Food: 5/5
