Incredible place, people & environment! Everyone is welcoming and kind. It's nice to have a place like the Midland Ymca to come to!
We use to enjoy visiting here up until recently when we witnessed the head lifeguard mistreating young children learning to swim. She’d grab children aggressively, pin their arms by their sides while bringing them out deeper and putting their faces in the water, yelling at parents and telling them to leave and come back after the lesson with no real rhyme or reason, or not paying attention to them at all during the lesson to where their heads were underwater. It was absolutely sickening to watch. Multiple kids and multiple parents this happened to on numerous occasions with this lifeguard. I have no idea why they have someone like that employed there teaching kids to swim.
Staff is more then helpful and have many times gone out of their way to help thanks guys always a pleasure and Pablo ty for keeping the candy dish full
The employees here are terrible people and even though the YMCA is a non profit organization there is certainly some shady financial incentives in place here. Also they do not provide towels any longer and the hygiene of the mens changing room is poor at best.
Very inappropriate workers. Staring at young girls while they’re working out.
