DO NOT USE THIS WOMAN!!!!! She is clueless and when questioned about her mistakes she hung up on us! She might be OK for a straight forward tax return but anything involved should not be trusted to her. Big mistakes on my returns and I am having to pay another CPA to re-do them. She REFUSED to fix them and doesn't feel she should pay anyone else to fix them. Guess we will see what the courts say about her duty here. Stay far away!

We had our taxes prepared at Middleton Accounting and Tax Services from 2012-2016. We never had a problem until we were notified by the Idaho State Tax Commission that we were being audited for our 2013 taxes. Included in our audit were penalty and interest charges totalling 118 dollars. My husband took the notice from the Tax Commission in to her and she was passive and unaccountable for her error. Afterwards, I emailed her, requesting that she pay the penalty and interest charges which I understood her to be liable for based on the Fiduciary Standard of Care on the AICPA website. The website states that "Courts have found that an accountant can be a fiduciary to his or her client when providing certain professional services including tax services, asset management and general business consulting" (http://www.aicpa.org/InterestAreas/PersonalFinancialPlanning/Resources/PracticeCenter/ProfessionalResponsibilities/Pages/FiduciaryStandardofCare.aspx). I have yet to get a response. As a business owner, regardless of the Fiduciary Standard of Care, I would think it to be in her best interest to pay a meager 118 dollars to retain business and to receive client referrals. Instead, her negligence in this matter will cost her our business and the business of any others who will heed our warning.

I've used Middleton Accounting & Tax Services two years in a row now for my taxes and they are great. I could not be more pleased!
