Stopped in to get some framing done—Michael’s, of course, has everything craft-related: décor, knickknacks, you name it. The framing section has plenty of options, both custom and ready-made. I usually prefer off-the-shelf frames since they’re more budget-friendly, and today I went with a mix: one frame just needed matting, and I had them custom mat an off the shelf frame they’ll do that!nnThey do charge à la carte for everything, including a small fee about $5 just to insert a document into a standard frame. In case you are frame challenged. :-, . . .nor short on time.nnThe service I got today was great—friendly and helpful. Some custom orders can take weeks, but in this case, my items will be ready in just a couple of days, maybe even sooner. Overall, a smooth and positive experience.
Usually my experience with this location is OK. My wife buys all her baking/art supplies from here. However today, one of the staff members was extremely rude during a curb side pick up. Instructions online clearly stated to park at the designated curb side parking, and phone the store to speak to a team member. In the instructions it specifically states not to enter the store and not to wait in line for your items.nnThe staff member who came out to our car with the 2 canvases was extremely rude and showcased a very negative attitude towards us. When I told them that their own instructions mention to park in the designated curb side pick up, they were very dismissive and did not take any accountability. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just didn’t want to step out into the cold to bring the items out. Either that, or they’re unfamiliar with their stores procedures. I told them they should update their instructions online. A good coaching opportunity for management if this employee is new. From now on I’ll drive the few extra minutes to go to the St. Albert location instead.
Visited this store to purchase some supplies for painting. Yvonne and Ricki were very helpful with suggestions and for reaching the large canvas i required and taking it up to the register for me. The store was very tidy and organized when i visited. Great shopping experience.
We had trouble scanning the items we were buying and when we asked for help we got sn attitude from the worker because we were speaking a different language other than English we said thank you and got no response. The rude worker went to help another lady and suddenly she was all sunshine and rainbows and said “have a great day!” She was smiling and laughing but very dry and rude with us! The store is great but the service is NOT!
A huge selection of everything for crafting. The store is huge so you need lots of time to navigate. They have a huge selection of yarn at the back of the store. The middle section of the store is filled with fake flowers. They have updated their checkout to be one line instead of individual lines. Don't forget to bring your coupons to save more money!
