I had such a wonderful experience at Michael’s thanks to Jae. He was incredibly helpful and patient while guiding me through my project. He took the time to walk around with me, showed me multiple options, and never once made me feel rushed.nnWhat really stood out was how kind and genuine he was. He made me feel like I was talking to a friend — someone who truly listened and gave thoughtful, valuable feedback. His patience and willingness to help made the entire experience so much better and less overwhelming.nnI’m truly grateful for his support and would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs assistance. Michael’s is lucky to have someone like Jae on their team!
Decent Micheal’s, I do come here often. The other day my family came to get some yarn. Surprised by the lack of colours since a few weeks ago it was yarn city. The reason for the 2 stars was the manager at the front counter. We explained that we couldn’t use the self checkout, as we were using a gift card. The manager just stood there fiddling with something on the counter and made us wait till “her cashier” could come. That’s not very managerial effort and for that 2 stars.
Always fun. Great sales. Seniors' Days rock, as do the flyers & coupons. I've shopped here for a decade, and my partner & I have loved supporting this chain for many years. He's an artist, and enjoys coming in to get supplies & ideas from their many different departments.n....But: we've noticed a steady decline at this location, and we're hoping it's not a foretelling sign. Just sayin', It would be nice if the prices came down please, especially since you guys, as a chain, are sometimes the only place to look at crafting supplies & see the colours, feel the fabric or materials, etc.nAnd what's with the self checkouts? Horrendous !! I cannot use them by myself, so I won't. The lineup was ridiculous last time we were there. I went to the car, leaving my guy to pay. Almost 20 minutes!! Not even a page for another cashier! The woman in front of us was so sweet & polite, but I'll tell you, she was shaking her head in disbelief too. A few others just walked out. Remember, customer service is 1 of the main selling points, versus Amazon or Temu and less than 0 human assistance . Long lineups, no staff, & already end of November!!??!! It's such a shame that profits come before customers - everywhere it seems is being affected. And ludicrous rents I'm sure, are killing businesses.nHowever, if we want to do it ourselves, then we don't need Michael's, right? Abby is a busy store - so invest in your business by investing in training & staffing, instead of shareholders!nI can't be the only person who wants more for their money? Michael's has always had that for me. I buy for my family, and thanks to previous interactions with your knowledgeable people, I now buy for me too. I loathe online shopping personally, & I prefer to be discerning, and then I also like getting what I really want, and making sure my parcels aren't stolen or damaged. Michael's still is a great place to shop for everyone on your list, especially if you or your kids personalize the gift. So I truly hope you can stay open in these tough times. I get so many gift ideas at your stores! Thank you for not forcing me online all the way, yet!!
Just had an associate follow me into the bathroom to tell me that bathroom had just been cleaned so I needed to leave. I informed her that I was actively peeing so I would not be leaving the washroom. She barked at me “ well it’s just been cleaned. You should have asked”nnThere was no sign indicating that the washroom was closed and the door wasn’t locked with the pin pad.nnThe store closed in 10 minutes so I guess they didn’t want to wait until all the customers left to do their closing duties.nnWhat if this was an emergency? What if I had a medical condition?nnThis is unacceptable. Completely unprofessional and frankly just plain weird I have never in my life been followed into the washroom by a store employee. I have no interest in shopping somewhere where this kind of behaviour is okay.
The best selection of art supplies and as always, great customer service, not too intrusive, they're there when you have questions. Reasonable prices and extensive stock on anything crafty your heart desires.
