Small, “nothing fancy” decor, genuine Italian restaurant. The salad was made distinctive by the rolls of mozzarella on top, yum! I ordered the “Tour of Italy” which featured fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and ravioli. All pretty good. Portions are huge! Red sauce was ok. Service was quick and efficient. My husband says the soup was very good, the meatballs were really good but small. Cheese sticks were good. I would come back if I was local but, it wouldn’t be my first choice for a special occasion.
2023.04 I would highly recommend this restaurant. Their tomato sauce was the best we had ever had; their calzone was so tasty and fulfilling; the “taste of Italy” combo was a good way to try out multiple dishes. Friendly staff, quick service. A tip: the restaurant could get very busy for dinner time so come early if you can.
Food is always hot and fresh. If you haven't tried their wings, give them a chance. The Chef with the rolled mozzarella is a must try. The fried Calzone was an absolute belly stuffer.
Local Italian joint in Little Italy, Niagara with homestyle feel and comfort foods. Started with Beans and Greens Soup and a side of Meatballs in Sauce incredibly tender and smooth flavor. For the entree, we had Lasagna and upgraded to the Chef Salad with Rolled Mozzarella.....oh so fresh and delicious! Lasagna had a cheesy, scrumptious balance of flavors. Nice atmosphere, street parking available.
I'm 65 and I've been going to Micheál's all my life. My Mother used to work there in her young adult life. I was raised with grandparents and my Great Grandmother and her son, my Grandfather who was the cook in the house. I knew real Italian Tomato sauce. We had it every Sunday and Thursday. Michael's is the most like the sauce we made at home. Their meatballs are excellent also, great seasoned Italian sauce. Whenever I go there, I have to have something with Italian tomato sauce. I very highly recommend this small restaurant. And it's sometimes very busy, with people waiting outside the door .
Disgusting kitchen and workers! Cross contamination regularly. Management goes through employees very fast due to poor treatment.. Close person quit due to seeing MICE/FECES in kitchen and mistreatment also did not get paid only threatened by manager we stopped eating there once he saw the kitchen! Eat at ur own riskFood: 1/5
Old Italian food, old Italian-American atmosphere and service. We didn't know what to expect, but when we pulled up we found an Italian restaurant under the sign proclaiming "Little Italy". Things started looking up. This is a very casual, low key restaurant catering to the locals. You seat yourself in a convenient booth. The interior is slightly worn in a comfortable way. It's a little dim to make it cozy. Our meals were excellent. They offer half-size pasta dishes, which are perfect for average appetites. We were satisfied but not too full. The pasta was a perfect al-dente. Kid-friendliness: Very casual, lots of kids when we were there. There's a kids menu.
Great small family style restaurant in Little Italy. The Beans and Greens Soup is awesome. The spaghetti with meatbalks is so authentic. Awesome Food . Will be a stop when we visit Niagara Falls again.Food: 5/5
Very fast service. Ordered the eggplant with spaghetti. Huge portions, I could have split with my husband. Love that they give you water right when you sit down. The bread was also amazing.
Love Michael's Restaurant for a casual and delicious Italian meal right in Niagara Fall's Little Italy! Their salad with the fresh mozzarella rolls and their daily specials are their stand out favorites! Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and enter from back parking or street side.
