We went here to celebrate my mother's birthday. The service is great! We were seated and got our drinks very quickly and it was only about 15-20 minutes and we got our food. The food was delicious! We also got a deep fried ice cream for my mother's birthday and when the bill came they said that the ice cream was on the house. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. I would definitely go back there.
My experience here was pretty good. Walking in was a little confusing because no one is there to greet you as you would typically expect. After I found the front desk I stood there for a few minutes then decided to just go to the bar and sit there since I was by myself. Once I sat down I realized there was no one tending the bar, but servers would randomly come in and out without asking me anything. There was one waiter, a young chicano who took care of me, I wish I got his name but after that everything was gold. His service was great and attentive. The food was pretty good. My steak was over cook to well done so it was a tad bit dry but still good. The sides were good, rice and pan fried bell peppers were a solid 8. The shrimp was good with the steak. Over all I was pleased with everything. I’d probably come back.
Here for the first time, our waiter was excellent gentleman with glasses, the food was Awesome & I don't like going out to eat much usually disappointed. If I was to say anything negative, it'd be I was asked how I'd like my steak done that is in the dish, it's so thin it really didn't matter. But, we will be back if it continues to be this good.
So I am big on good Mexican food! This place was out standing! The waiter was phenomenal! We had a party of 7 with 5 being children and he did exquisite!! The food was DELICIOUS! I knew when I hit the door and seen them red Coca-Cola cups I was in for a treat! Love Love Love! If you are in the area and want Mexican food, look no further!! I can't wait to go back!
Def an original and authentic Mexican restaurant. Is hard to find a good restaurant in Petoskey and this one catch my attention. Chips and salsa to start, very tasty. The mashed beans at Mexican places are always a must to for sure. Tacos a burrito with a really good taste. We got also a mojito and bloody Mary with our food that I highly recommend.
YUM!!! I have been looking for true Authentic Mexican Rice that isn't dry for years. This restaurant has just that. Pork Carnita was on point. Not horribly impressed with the house margarita... it has a very artificial taste to the margarita mix along the lines of a kids lime popsicle. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the food, the flavors, the atmosphere, and the staff. We will be repeat customers when in the Petoskey area.
This is seriously the best burrito I’ve ever had and it’s not close! It’s the Spicy Hot Burrito and it actually is both. So many times restaurants call something spicy but are too afraid to really give it some heat. This burrito is really hot but not so painfully hot you can’t still enjoy it. On top of that, the flavors are delicious. There are three different meats in it but they are separated into sections. I love the variety as you get to try several things in one meal. I’d highly recommend this restaurant! The staff were excellent as well. Kid-friendliness: My son ordered tacos and they were also delicious and very reasonably priced.
Tasty reasonable prices and good portions AUTHENTIC MEXICAN. Everybody there barely spoke English The mi nachos were AWESOME. Also the MI Burrito was massive and delicious Good service Only bad thing I can say is their charging a 2.5% convenience fee Best Mexican in Petoskey
This building was formerly “Big Boy”. The current owners retrofitted the place nicely. Although we had a carry out, I had a chance to get “the feel” of the place while waiting for our order to be completed. Comfortable. The food was just ok. However, we were underwhelmed by the small portions; especially considering f the price - $31 for 3 tacos and a taco salad. Neither dish was particularly good or bad. I’m general, we were disappointed. We will not return here.
3/5 stars SUMARY OF CLASSIFICATION: The place is clean and has a fancy look, although, they are NOT as generous with the portions as other places as usual legit Mexican restaurants. I was impressed with the decoration and structure but not with the food. Food is not super Mexican authentic - but it’s more like a Fancy looking American Mexican restaurant with high prices. PRICES: 4/10 - unfortunately, their prices are high due to how fancy their restaurant structure looks. 1- burrito a la carte- grade 5/10 - too small. 2- Supreme Nachos - grade 6/10 - I did not like that they use shredded chicken it was salty I usually prefer fresh chicken pieces. Another thing, the nachos plate was to small in comparison even with the American Mexican La Señorita restaurants. I wish they were more generous and used fresh chicken pieces instead. BATHROOMS- they were decent.
