I ordered some Calamares Frito, French Fries, and Pechuga Del Valle! The Pechuga has a creamy cheese sauce poured over chicken breast stuffed with sweet plantains & mozzarella. It was superb! French Fries is also very flavorful, I like this version. Meanwhile, I wish the Calamares is crispier. I think it's chewier than it should be. Overall, good food and beautiful place!
For a restaurant labeled as Caribbean, they definitely had a decent array of flavors highlighting multiple countries in the Caribbean. The front of house, Luisa, She was very sweet and accommodating. It was our first time in any Caribbean restaurant, and she took her time to help us with selections, and gave us a little overview of what the food was like that they were serving, primarily Dominican, versus what it would be like if it were Puerto Rican varietals. Everything was wonderfully fresh and delicious, everything was served with care and love, you could tell the Chef puts a lot of love in the food! We were passing through, but we will be back because of this. Wonderful experience! I had the eggplant dish, mofongo, passion fruit juice, and shared a serving of the tres leches cake! My husband had fried plantains, a chicken dish stuffed with yuca, and soursop. While we were here, it was not very busy with people seated and being served, but lots of takeout. It's not usual that we would have had such an opportunity to and chat with the staff, we were very lucky in our timing! It's evident that this is a cornerstone restaurant for the community! Vegetarian options: 2-3 options available for vegetarians
Large servings of food! So far everything I've tasted here seems fresh and the service is fast. Prices are reasonable
Ave Marina chicken dish Chicken Breast Stuffed with shrimps in a white sauce. Accompanied by a Pepper stuffed with yellow rice Maduros Fried Sweet Plantains THE BEST
Two stars because the 20% automatic gratuity wasn’t disclosed until we looked closer at the bill afterwards. Food was great. One of the best vegetarian dishes we’ve had in the area, an eggplant dish. This was the worst service I’ve ever had, double charged for multiple items, ordered one beef taco and two chicken tacos and got all chicken, almost billed twice for one dish, asked for a refill of coffee and was charged twice but told was that told they poured me three cups, the server refused to split our bill even though they can with clover. Nothing comped, only a sorry and condescension. I really want to go back but don’t think I can.
The food was enjoyable and substantial. The atmosphere is that of a Spanish villa. However their price system seems to be on a some sort of racial sliding scale in which they up charge white people. When questioned why my $7 soup is now double the price it’s chalked up to the menu price not being updated, along with everything else our table ordered apparently.
Fanciest Spanish food in all town. I only gave it a 1 star for it's atmosphere on google maps because it is in a very bad neighborhood, right around the block drug addicts buy synthetic marijuana from Oneida square market. Besides for that, the brick building looks alright and inside looks even better. All wood interior design, hand crafted. It really is a nice fancy place. It is a shame these dope heads can't get clean around the block from here. This neighborhood has a great potential to be better and more safe.
Worst service i have ever seen. The lady at the cashier is rude. They are overpriced and their prices differ from the actual menu. The food isn't even that great. How this place is still in business i don't know.
A true hidden gem! Excellent service, DELICIOUS food, awesome sangria! Favorite dish is the Pachuga Del Valle - chicken breast studded with plantains and mozzarella, smothered in a delicious cheese sauce. Not pictured but included with the dish, the yucca pure is soooo good! You can't go wrong!
An amazing lunch, Bibi was a great server and she helped me choose. The pineapple drink is homemade and delicious. The chicken crepe was so unique, perfect beans and rice, even the salad had a light and tasty dressing. Beautiful presentation. I will be back soon.
