I moved to Toronto a few days ago and wanted to eat Mecian food on Cinco de Mayo. I picked this place for the variety of option on their menu. I ordered a tinga de pollo tostada and it was really good. The other order was Baja fish taco, which I didn't expect to be that good but it exceeded my expectations.nnI also ordered a single shot paloma. It was thw only down side because it was too sweet, but I'm still giving 5 stars because I really enjoyed the food.nn*addition*nI just read a few reviews by others about the service. From my experience, it was really good. I was served and communicted with 3 members of the staff. They all were friendly and welcoming. A glass of water was served immediately before placing my order. I don't know but some customers go to restaurants and bar with bad attitudes or they are used to the quality of some corporate Americanized franshizes that I don't need to name but you probably already knew them without saying :
Came here for dinner since the reviews were great but were quickly humbled by the actual experience. Restaurant was empty except for some people on the patio. We wanted to dine inside since we came from a long hike. The tables were super sticky, so I got up and grabbed their cleaning bottle and wet rag to wipe it before we eat. Turns out whatever they use doesn't remove the stickiness at all so that was already kind of weird. Then the music was horrible. The taste of music was fine but it was playing with consistent interruptions as if the connection is really bad and at first we thought it'll go away but it didn't and it was really annoying.nThe service despite that was good, they turned off the music eventually and the food came quick.nI have had excellent tacos in my life before but those really weren't it. The beef tasted gamey, the fish didn't taste like much at all, but the pork one with pineapple was pretty good. We also got the loaded nachos which were okay at best.. the smell and taste of the chicken on top kind of reminded me of cat food to be honest. And the ceviche was bland.nThe best thing we ordered was a Pina colada, that was delicious.nBut yeah, overall we didn't have a great experience here and definitely won't come back
This place is awesome! Ambiance is authentic, the waiting staff are very accommodating and kind… and the food is 10/10 good!! I’ve ordered for takeout in the past and love it but dined in for Cinco de Mayo. Fresh and delicious tacos. My partner had a burrito, it was huge and he loved it. Happy to support local bluffs businesses like this!
Maxitaco is a fantastic place with great food and an impressive menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is appealing, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend it for a satisfying dining experience.
Personally I loved this place. The salsas they give you are amazing and the vibe of the restaurant is immaculate. The music was nice and it the decor was great. It was absolutely empty which was kind of nice. My friend did complain that the tacos were sopping wet. I didn’t mind it but he didn’t like it at all. The flavour was good though and their wings are huge and really flavourful. Price was also pretty decent. Really nice place overall. Since its on the street it’s pretty tough to find parking so dress warm if it’s cold out.
