What an incredible experience! I'd have to say this is the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had HANDS DOWN! The meat is high quality, everything is fresh and beautifully plated. The owner truly cares about your experience and you can tell he puts alot of love into what he makes. Also, the food is reasonably priced for the high quality.. their handmade tortillas were absolutely incredible!! I highly reccomend this restaurant to ANYONE! I will be back here many more times to come! Thank you for an incredible experience! God bless!
Amazing food! The tortillas are made fresh daily and everything we have tried has been delicious! The owner is super friendly and he takes pride in his food and business. They will not disappoint!
This place is amazing! Very authentic. The owner is very friendly. He came out and offered us a sample of a whole quesadilla for the table so we could sample something we didn’t order. His son waited on us and he was so funny and sweet. Definitely would recommend and am going to go back for more!
The food is amazing! Be warned though, if they tell you it's spicy, they mean it. My husband and I enjoy it. The chef is very passionate about his food. Everything tasted so fresh. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely excellent and authentic. We have enjoyed the tacos, sopes, gorditas, taco rojos, tostadas..pretty much everything. The homemade tortillas are stellar. They are beyond kind and patiently answer all questions unlike some restaurants where you feel you are a bother. We have always done take out and they include everything you need. Today tried the mega quesabirria and omw it was so delicious. The size of a large pizza with 4 large sides of consome.. Definitely has heat but the excellent flavorful heat not the hot just for sake of hot. Horchata cooled the fire perfectly. Also had beef nachos and this also was huge and so good. The chips were layered with our choice of meat pork, cheese, jalapenos, onions and salsa so every bite was perfect. Do not miss this, it is the best of the Southside!

This restaurant is an incredible experience. Family run and operated, both the man who owns it and his son are wonderful. The food is AMAZING. I visit Janesville every month to visit my Godson and will ALWAYS stop in here. I’ve had Mexican food all over the country and this place is definitely one of the BEST. Not only that, for FAMILIES with KIDS: They will tailor a lot of the items on their menus to accommodate kids! I have a picky 5 year old and he almost always eats it because they’ll keep ingredients off, or make kid versions! Best food in Janesville! I had steak taco and shared a fried burrito with my husband. It was amazing!!! So much food that I will have lunch tomorrow. Excellent food, and incredible service. This is our favorite restaurant, and we've loved everything we've had on the menu!
Very authentic and everything was fresh. I love privately owned businesses and this one was a great experience. The owner came to take our order and shared with us 3different flavors of meats to try. It is obvious he is passionate about his cooking and put much care into preparing it. I would highly recommend you come in to eat and feel the warmth of the atmosphere and family love put into the whole experience!!!
I was surprised to find a taqueria in Janesville with a 4.9 star rating and 400+ reviews, so we had to try it. They have absolutely earned that reputation. Homemade tortillas, yes, I said homemade tortillas! We tried about five different menu items and shared everything. Every single thing was perfect, not good, not great, PERFECT. The lengua quesadilla was maybe the single best Mexican dish I’ve ever eaten. The crispy fried outside of the homemade corn base, while still light and fluffy inside, filled with perfectly cooked tongue, cheese, tomatoes and onions, oh my god. The base of each different type of dish is made from scratch from ground corn, and makes all the difference in the flavor. Anyone who knows food knows that the simple things done from scratchbread, noodles, tortillas, makes the difference between something being good and something being great. This food is great. Also the salsas on the table, and the Horchata were phenomenal! We will drive the 45 minutes from home just to eat here, time and again now that we’ve discovered this gem. Oh, and the owner is super nice and his family works really hard. Skip the chain restaurants and try this, trust me.
