I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Candlelight Tribute to Adele at the Metropolitan Community Church in Toronto, featuring a talented quartet of violinists. The experience was nothing short of breathtaking!nnThe church's atmospheric ambiance, combined with the soft glow of candlelight, created an intimate and enchanting environment.nnThe quartet's rendition of Adele's hits was mesmerizing. Their skillful playing, harmonious blend, and passionate energy was simply amazing.nnThe acoustic sound system could benefit from some enhancements. By installing high-quality speakers designed for live performances to provide clear, detailed soundnBy implementing this suggestion, the Metropolitan Community Church can further enhance its audio capabilities, providing an even more captivating and immersive experience for future events.nnOnce again, I'd like to express my gratitude to the talented quartet and the church for hosting this unforgettable evening.
The Candlelight: Tribute to Metallica performance by Fever was truly inspiring. The artists were incredibly talented, and the frontman brought a fun and intelligent energy to the show. As someone who grew up with Metallica, it was a nostalgic and uplifting experience. However, the setting fell short—nearly half the candles were out, and an annoying hum likely from the radiators disrupted the first half of the concert. Thankfully, it was resolved after my friend spoke to the supervisor, allowing us to fully enjoy the music. Performance: 5 stars, setting: 3 stars.
I attended the candle light concert here one evening. The church is located in a neighborhood so street parking can be limited but you will eventually find one if drive up a bit and walk.nnOnce inside, the event space it self was very nice. Depending on the ticket you purchase, you have the option to sit upstairs or downstairs.nnTwo stairways leading up, we sat on the left side, first bench. The view was fine but you do have to sit closer to the edge of the seat to see the performance downstairs fully as the view is obstructed by the railing.nnOverall, enjoyed the experience and place.nnIn terms of the candlelight performance, no phones allowed till the last performance, please if you are going to sneak around to take a video, at least turn off the flash, haha
The Candlelight Concert I attended with my mom for her birthday at the Metropolitan Community Church was a unique and dreamscape experience - the acoustics of the church, the golden glow of the dozens of electric candles on stage, from Bach to the Beatles, played by the talented Listeso String Quartet - amazing experience! Highly recommend! Accessibility: The venue is Wheelchair Accessible and the candles are unscented and electric; but accessible and general parking is very limited so recommend taking Wheeltrans if possible or a form of transportation that does not require parking. Arrive early to claim good seats in the section of your tickets - the accessible ramp entrance is on Simpson Ave. Masks are available at the door if desired. Tissues are available in the back of the pews. Enjoy! :
