Absolutely amazing. Perfect atmosphere. The musicians were incredible and it was the perfect length. Only note is that it was a bit warm so we’ll make sure to wear layers for next time already booked tickets for our second show it was so lovely!
As a music lover and former flutist, it has been on my bucket list to attend a candlelight concert. And I was even more stoke to see they would be performing one of my favourites, Celine Dion’s greatest hits. The quartet played beautifully. Our only dislike was the temperature of the church itself as it was very hot, luckily i carry a fan to fan myself. Therefore, recommend bringing one or a mini electronic fan if you can whilst watching in the summer and to just dress accommodating the heat. Other than that, the candles and music were very pretty
It’s my first time to join the Candlelight Concert with my daughter and husband. It was amazing. I enjoyed very much. Especially all the music played is so familiar with Joe Hisaishi !Metropolitan Community Church is a great place for concert!
The quartet performance and the song playlist were exemplary. However, we felt that the full effect of the candlelight was not obtained, since there was sunlight permeating through the windows. While I understand that no one can control the weather, a few extra steps to blackout the windows to an extent could have elevated the experience. Or perhaps move the concert timing to a later time in the day, so that it is darker.
It was beautiful! The music and the venue was perfect, I just wish the show was longer! Also it would have been good to start the show later than 7 p.m. so the church would have been darker for the candles. But overall we loved it and would go again.
