I have been shopping here for the past 25 years or more mostly for the quality of the meat. I have over the years recommended them especially for their ground beef. That has now all changed. I bought 2 packages of ground beef yesterday, freezing one and cooking one for supper. It was disgusting. It was just bad old meat that they dated yesterday and put on the shelves. I paid $30.00 for those 2 packs, plus hamburger buns, lettuce and tomatoes. This morning I was still quite upset at this and went to return my unopened package. At customer service she told me there was nothing she could do and to go see the butcher, so I went to see the butcher who I did not get his name but he was Mexican and very rude and downright refused to take back his poisoned meat. So after 25 or so years adios Metro. You have lost one loyal customer and I will be sure to talk about this to all my recommendations I have made. I am so disappointed in the lack of respect.
Staff is always kind but if you’ve never been here, you’ll be confused on where to go as it’s not set up like other shops. It’s not super big so selections are limited but it’s perfect for when you need a couple things.
On the way from Yamaska National Park, this metro is one of the closest grocery stores. Sufficient parking space and good area. However, prices are a bit high compared to other grocery stores. The place is clean and the food is more fresh and longer lasting. I will visit again next time I go to the Yamaska National Park.
