Bought an 18$ small chicken.Went to cook it on 18th.It was slimy.Looked at expire date.Last date was 18th.Went to exchange it.The manager refused.Said I should of cooked it a few days before.I know that is b.s.This is 3rd time they do this to me.When I said I wouldn't return.His words were "Oh well".Not nice at all.I'm on odsp.I have very lil money for food.I will now shop in other city.
Went into store August 27, bought some monsters and apple turnovers. Bit into an apple turnover and a chunk of plastic or a piece of glue was inside. I live 45 minutes away so i couldn’t just bring it back so i called the store no answer so went online to make a complaint just to never get a response. I figured they would like to know there was a batch of turnovers with plastic/glue pieces in them to avoid others almost breaking their teeth with it but they couldn’t even bother to reply back. Will never return.
Cut Fruit department needs to rotate and check trays for fruit and veggies with mold as per the production planner. Picked up a tray and didn't realize until an hour later the strawberries were moldy. Double check products on counter both staff and customers.
Overall store is somewhat ok except the produce which is pretty gross but the awesome Deli makes up for it with extremely friendly and approachable staff.
Freshly cook chicken meal. Very tasty and served hot. Great value for just under $20.00.
Friendly employees with excellent meats and produce
The quality of the store on many levels is second to no one. How the customer experiences at their store is also second to no one. And so much better than another unnamed store in Sturgeon falls. If that sounds like a resentment it is. I've encountered too much bigotry in my life time. But Metro in Sturgeon falls has never treated me with anything but respect. Very willing to help you out if you have a problem finding things cordial people at the cash registers I just love this store. Thank you Metro you appreciate my business and I appreciate you.
The cashier at the service/Express counter who was working when I shopped yesterday refused to pass my groceries through She told me that she only sold lottery tickets. No signs at the cash advising people of this. I bought my scratch ticket and proceded to go and wait in line at another cash with my 7 items. On my way out of the store, I noticed a small lineup at her cash and witnessed her processing grocery orders with as many or more items than I had. I did hear her tell one customer that they needed to buy a lottery ticket in order to checkout groceries. I guess she has the authority to pick and chose who she serves. I shop here all the time but maybe not so much any more Would love to hear some feedback on this, have other people experienced this same treatment by this cashier or others? Her name is Danielle. She is short and plump with short black hair. Some sort of discrimination at it's best.
So glad Metro is carrying lots of gluten free products, especially Promise breads. Yum!
Going to self check out so only minimul staff at registers. Does bot work for couponed items or staples such as ice. Takes me longer at self checkout than it did before now that they have reduced staff at the registers. I don't like no frills but will be migrating over and picking up meat products at the local butcher.
