I only ever go to Metro for 1 thing, 2-3 times a year. Turkeys. They always have the best price for frozen Butterball turkeys. I do my best to avoid buying regular priced items, only sale items as this store is usually overpriced.
I bought a strawberry shortcake cake and paid 32$ but it was worst I have ever tasted. Walmart's 5$ cakes taste better than this. Strawberries used in it were frozen. Threw the whole cake. It sagged on one side and while eating we can feel the ice in strawberries, at least thaw the strawberries before using. Never going back to metro for cakes.
Went to bakery to get cake for our anniversary. The dark complexion lady working there keep rolling her eyes on me and my wife. We were there literally for 5 minutes choose the cake and left. But her way of interacting with with cx of one color was completely different than how she delt with the cx of different color. Never wana go back to this store. Don’t want my family to deal with this kind of negativity.
Employees working at Metro 1265 Ritson Road North definitely need customer service training mainly the elderly lady working at the cake and pastry department during day hours. She is very rude and her service will give a feeling as if she is doing us a big favour by letting us buy the cake from Metro.Even if we are buying an expensive birthday cake she don’t bother to tape the box unless you ask for it. It spoiled the festive mood.
Bakery items are amazing. Fresh vegitables and farm items. Also wine shop is in store.
