Story

Meikle Osgood, LLP was formed in 2006 by Ian Meikle and Randall Osgood. Ian Meikle had practiced in B.C. with Meikle Shupe & Blair, in Kingways Garden Mall with Merchant Law group, and as a sole practitioner. In recent years,Ian has been placing more emphasis on his dependent adult and estate practice. Randall Osgood previously practiced with the firm Smith Bresee,later Corbett Smith Bresee. Both Ian and Randy have provided general practice legal services to the Kingsway and North Edmonton area for years,and between them have over 71 years of experience. After articling and practicing with a small west-end firm for several years, Rosemarie Schlegl joined Meikle Osgood LLP effective June 1, 2010. In June 2011 the firm
became simply Meikle Osgood, as Ian Meikle retired.

Randy took everything from my father's estate. He assured us the will was simple and charged us far more than quoted. He was an absolute coward when it came to meetings with opposing attorneys. He showed up late for meetings and charged us for his time still. We successfully sued him and got much of the money he helped himself to from my father's estate back but it's been 13years since this rip-off and I just can't hold it in anyymore. He made unauthorized calls and had private meetings with other attorneys which we weren't allowed to know the discussions and wanted to have 12 more at our expense. We got sucked in because he had advertised his name as being a church member but turned out to be dishonest and a weak lawyer
Lawyer Osgood makes you do a lot of his work that he then bills you. Osgood was fired for not telling me he & other lawyers would first take overbilled $40K fees leaving dependent adult with nothing. Keep your document originals as they hold them ransom - never got back ours even after paying then firing. Later refuses to return follow up calls. Beware!
Still waiting to hear back from him regarding questions from February. He keeps saying he’ll get back to me at the end of the week. Not transparent or reliable. Paperwork he filed was missing information or had been incorrectly filled out
