Best restaurant with Great Service ever. Extra 5for your exceptional service. The owner Jag and the staff is so polite and their service is amazing. We had our son’s Tilak ceremony small function for 60 persons one weeks ago. The quality of the food was very good and food was so delicious, so fresh with good quantity. Delicious Indian food in Cochrane. I think this is the best Indian restaurant in Cochrane. The naan taste, crunchy, softness is perfect. Their Kashmiri pulao is very unique and something g that you can’t find anywhere else.
First time here but really loved the food. I ordered Beef Biriyani, Mango Lassi and Rice Pudding. The beef in the beef biriyani was soft enough and the Biriyani over all was really good. Mango lassi was the best lassi I've ever had in Canada so far and the Rice pudding was also not bad at all. All in all 10/10, will come again.
Visited this place when I was on vacation. Great food and great people. A family run business helping the community too. I got the lamb biriyani and was delicious. Must visit place if you visit Cochrane Alberta.
Ordered lamb vindaloo and rotis and naans take out, meat was SO OLD that it was INEDIBLE and had to throw it in the trash.luckily i ordered pickle also and so had to eat the rotis and naans with just pickle for supper....won't go to this place again....
My new favorite restaurant. I used to dine Indian in Vancouver regularly years ago. It's been a while but finding Mehtab is like finding a pot of Butter Chicken gold with a side of epic naan at the end of the rainbow. You won't be disappointed. The decor is simple and tastefully done. The place is clean and cozy. The service is polite, warm and impeccable. I can tell this family business wants you to be so pleased. I went two nights in a row it was so fabulous. I took my 11 year old and my 14 year old. They just loved it. They cleaned out all the dishes of food!! Be sure to take a moment to read the little paper sign on the door. Just heart warming and motivates a desire to support these special business people. Bravo Mehtab. I had a lovely dinner here. I ordered two dishes that were recommended and I adored them. Eating in the restaurant is the best. They have a nice wine list and it’s really nice inside. Great flavours and service. The naan is epic.
Order from here all the time! The Goat curry is my fave!! Love love the coconut naan bread and coconut rice!! Definitely go to meal!
This is my second visit to Mehtab. Great service and awesome food. Had butter chicken on first visit and it was the best I had in years. Giving 4 star only because the chicken was on the tougher side on my second visit. However I would still recommend this place to anyone who is interested to enjoy authentic Indian food. Third & Fourth visit update: Food was not so great. It seems to be lacking in flavour compared to my first visit and quality is slowly coming down. Three star!
