I love going here for tea or specialty coffee but this is not my go to place for lunch or if you are in a hurry. The decor is quirky victorian but very comfy and relaxing. The staff are rather conservative in demeanor and do not seem to encourage youth from my personal experience seeing how they responded to teenage customers. Nice view of Victoria Park from the front of the cafe and it is a good spot to meet in small groups.
Lovely spot to relax and enjoy a cuppa. Deep comfy chairs allow you to sink in and absorb the serene beautiful surroundings. My favourite place to rest a bit when I'm in town
What a great place. Very cozy atmosphere. We watched a blues musician perform and he was amazing. There were tasty looking sandwiches and decadent desserts. There were many coffee and tea options as well as beer and wine. It was a perfect evening.
I wasn't blown away by the lunch menu. The sandwich was definitely something I could have just made at home. Service was lagging, had to wait a bit for the cake we paid for. Coffee was okay as well. It's not like a true tea room but all in all a quiet environment to hang out in.
Visited this quirky little place today with some friends for lunch ....disappointing choice with no menu - just told by the waitress what was on offer ???? Service poor and it seemed that only one of each dish apart from soup available. Only soft drink available was diet coke or flavoured sparkling water. Three of us had a bowl of soup unremarkable and two had a slice of quiche ...... the bill ..... over $60 for 5 of us - definitely not worth the cost !
Isn't this just a delightful place! The perfect atmosphere for tea with friends. And just fabulous little treats to have with your tea. Tea is served in a proper tea pot and you get to sip your delightful beverage from an elegant teacup and saucer. Heaven!
Had lunch there yesterday with my son and we were disappointed. My son ordered the vegetable soup and I had the quiche with some greens. We had to wait at least 20 minutes for our meal. My son said soup was very bland and we felt for a small bowl of soup it was over priced at $6.80. My quiche was ok but again felt it was over priced at $9.60. It is a very quaint place and I'm sure fine for coffee/tea and desert. Won't do lunch there again.
Excellent little "Tea and Cakes" shop. Large selection of non-alcoholic drinks and a variety of sweet snacks. The atmosphere is cosy and the prices are not outrageous.
Cutest little place for a "pot of tea", an actual china pot of tea. Every chair and table is different . A little bit of nostalgia tucked away in Cobourg. Tea, tarts, slices of cakes and loafs, too many to mention. A place you don't want to miss when you visit here.
66 is a great coffee house. At the moment it's closed but I was next door at Diary Dream which they also own. They are a very nice family and it's Kawartha ice cream
