Story

Located in the old New York Central freight depot in Medina, NY, the Medina RR Museum is one of the largest freight depot museums in the country. The building itself was built in 1905-06, and is one of the largest (301ft. by 34ft.), last surviving wooden freight depots in the United States.

Our air-conditioned building features the largest collection of such artifacts and memorabilia known to exist under one roof. Also see the longest HO scale layout and diorama all on one floor, an immense 14ft. by 204ft.

Went on the blues and booze and there wasn't any music, nobody working the train informed any of the passengers why. No information at all was passed on to passengers. Never heard any music. Left info at ticket office and nobody ever got back to me. Train ride was to Lockport so much industrial buildings as opposed to foliage. Disappointed in ride and treatment of Medina RR workers and management. Will not go on again and will steer others away from attending any Medina RR trip. If I could give it less than a star I would have.

Very awesome place to visit if you are a fan of trains, the modeling hobby, and history. You can walk their train layout all day and see things you missed prior, the details are incredible. They also have many other exhibits that are fascinating to look at. The staff on our visit was great and very enthusiastic about the museum and our interest in it. This was a very fun, affordable, and informative visit. Thank you everybody involved in the museum for the great experience, and we will be returning for the train excursions.

My family had a great time here. There was so much to see in the museum and the model trains we fascinating. We also went on the fall foliage train ride and it was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been here several times and each time offers something new that i did not catch last time. i'm also a big HO model train fan and this guy knows how to do it. just love this place

Really cool place. Huge HO scale model train layout. Lots of really intricate pieces. The train ride was good also.
