Medicine Hat Lodge Hotel

The Medicine Hat Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful at any time. I always get a pet friendly room as I travel with my dog, Daisy. The rooms are a good size and tastefully decorated with very comfortable seating and equally comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning is buffet style with plenty to eat and very reasonable priced. They have a pool and water slide on the premises as well as a casino, bar and lounge. #1 in my books.

Good location, but very run down and in need of more than a little love and care. I was on the top floor and my ceiling had a large crack the entire width of the room, there was caulking used in the drop-ceiling in the shower to fix where a piece broke off, the heating and AC unit is straight out of the 70s and very loud, furniture was banged up and looked work down and dated. My room was missing a chair and the coffee pot had an old filter still in it. Cleaning was sub-par -- staff did a quick once over, not taking dirty dishes or cleaning the old coffee or if the machine. Staff was nice, but didn't notify me when a package came in for me, as I had arranged with them before I arrived, when I checked in and again in the day it was too arrive. Free breakfast was passable -- scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes -- but it was always lukewarm. Ask for a room not facing the pool if you want any chance at peace and quiet.

I was here for a conference and I was impressed with the big space and neatness of the space provided. The room is huge, warm and the temperature perfect. They have catering on place and the food was great. The hotel looks clean and nice. A five stars experience!

We have always had a good experience here. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is great. One of the major draws for us is the water slides as our daughter loves the water. It is an older building but well maintained. The staff have also never treated us with anything other than professionalism and respect. We have stayed here a several times over the last few years and will stay here again in the future.

Very Clean , friendly staff. Adequate parking . Had a great time and won for the first time in years. Was very happy with the drink service . Great selection of slot machines . Some good oldies I haven't seen in years Good prices on drinks also . Highly recommend !!!
