Mountain Equipment Coop MEC is one of my favorite outdoor equipment and gears stores.nnThey have pretty well anything you need for outdoor activities: Hiking, Biking, Water sport, climbing, traveling, backpacks, shoes, clothing, etc. good selections of stuffs and sizes. I love their MEC brand products as well, good quality and functional in design. Our family pretty well grew up with MEC products.nKnowledgeable and helpful staff!nnIt used to be Canadian company, but not anymore. Still happy and grateful that the MEC brand and stores exist.nnLove to look around and shop there. Good clearance deals as well as they switch out seasonal items from time to time.nHighly recommended!
Had such an amazing experience purchasing ski boots. Nathan is such a knowledgeable employee with such detailed product training. I purchased a pair of boots that not only work for the structure of my foot— but also the style of skiing I tend to do. So happy with my purchase, 100% worth the money. The next piece of equipment I need to upgrade I will definitely be back looking for Nathan’s help!
Came in to get my first climbing shoe, Ann-Elaine was fantastic. She made sure I left happy with a perfect fitting shoe on top of ensuring me if I still don't like the fit after my first climb I can come back. Her attitude, knowledge, and dedication was fantastic and a perfect example of customer service.
Two days ago, my wife and I visited MEC to buy climbing shoes, and we were lucky to be helped by an Irish girl who was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly patient and went above and beyond to ensure we found the perfect fit. Her knowledge and dedication made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. We truly appreciated her effort and kindness. Thank you so much for your help!
Fine when you want to buy a new water bottle, but avoid this store for any service.nnI bought ski boots here and the staff member who was helping me heat mold my boots put them in the heater, told me what I was supposed to do, and then just left. I had to finish the molding. I'm sure it's a pretty straightforward job, but given the room for error on a $500+ piece of equipment I would rather a professional perform the job. Save yourself the hassle and go to a real ski or bike shop if you want the job done right.
