Great building, floor layouts, excellent location, rooms are very good. The bathrooms need better maintenance, the street it is on needs speed control definitely.
SUMMER ACCOMMODATION REVIEW We stayed here for a night in mid-august on our way across Ontario. Having graduated from Queen's years ago I'm a bit biased, but in my view the location is quite nice. The university campus has some beautiful limestone buildings and is right on the water. If you go downtown there are lots of nice places to eat / things to do in Kingston. On this trip, we got the double room with 2 single beds. The price was reasonable and the room was clean and relatively comfortable. Desk staff at Watts Hall were reasonably well organized. It's a bit annoying that they'll only give you parking until 7AM when you stay here in the summer, though. With regards to the residence itself: as a Queen's alumnus, I'm glad I didn't have to live in McNeill as a student. The building itself has been very weirdly renovated. Bathrooms in particular have been very poorly done. They are small overall and are very cramped, to the point where it's actually difficult to open the stall door while you're inside it. Double rooms are smaller than the ones I saw in Gordon House at least in 2009.
