I was in the Lakeview area for work and my co-worker took me to McKenna’s for lunch. I had the brisket sandwich that was on special and was blown away with how good it was! The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area!Recommended dishesFrench Fries
We love coming here. The wait staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Food is delicious and we love to support local. • This is my new favorite! Grilled Chicken Breast & Veggie Trio. My own specialty...I will definitely keep ordering this! Quite tasty and a healthy option. Thanks for making this for me! :
Great atmosphere! Heart of the town! Wonderful service! Great food! Kid-friendliness: Kind atmosphere with a great kid’s menu! Parking: Parking options behind and in front of the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors, easy to move tables, big bathroom!
Excellent food excellent service great atmosphere!!Food: 5/5
I travel to Lakeview Michigan once a month to visit a friend. We meet up at McKenna’s Village Restaurant downtown. It’s a very nice clean place with good variety of food and beverages. Great selection of beers. I highly recommend them when you are in the area, or just taking a drive to visit the Amish cheese business on Kendaville road. Nice road trip. Get a good cup of coffee for the road trip next door, great coffee.
I'm trying to have a little bit of grace tonight for these servers. From all we could see, they were short staffed with only 2 servers for the whole restaurant about 20 tables. Waited over half an hour just to order our food, then by the time it got to us, the kids food was cold, and 2 of our 4 orders were wrong. Very unpleasant experience for our first time there. Debating if it's worth going back.
Lori is an exceptionally good server. Coffee was good enough to drink black. Solid food. The French toast was delicious. Both my over medium eggs and my son’s omelette were undercooked however. 5 star service, 3.5 star food.
This was our first visit and thought the service and food was excellent. I thought it would be a good place to bring some friends. That thought ended when our bill came. I must have missed a sign or notice that I would be treated differently than others. I had no cash and was charged more for each item I ordered than what was stated on the menu because I used a debit card. I realize that some businesses do this to offset costs, but the world today is encouraging and getting closer to a "cashless" society. I will not be back. There are plenty of restaurants that I can get an $8.99 hamburger and not get upcharged !!
This is a family owned and operated business, the customers are treated like family. The portions are generous, several in my party asked for take home boxes. For those of us who had coffee, our waitress was the kind who was right there to refill without giving us the feeling of being watched. The food is outstanding! If you're in the area I strongly recommend you stop here as you'll be extremely satisfied. Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options on all parts of the menu. Parking: Parking is angle parking on the street.
Good food and reasonable prices!
