McHenry Montessori School

Not sure how they can call themselves Montessori...

My daughter has attended McHenry Montessori since she was 8 months old (she is now 4). She has thrived in the environment and I have had wonderful experiences with all of her teachers. She has always been well cared for all the time she has been there. The one time I did have a minor issue with a teacher, Lori, the Director took care of it immediately and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone in the area.

I had my daughter in the infant room for approx 4 months and she was bitten 5 documented times. All that I asked is if there was a plan to keep my daughter safe. The answer was no. I asked specifically for a shadow for the child that has been consistently biting my child. Their response was no, they do not feel that it is necessary because it is developmental. Which may be true but my daughter's pain and wincing was clear. She would still have black and blue marks from the previous bite when she would get bitten again. There is clearly a lack of supervision here.
