Beers: on point! Service: great job! Attentive, good suggestions, not pushy Selections: great! Lots to choose from. Food: pretty good. Had maple chicken sandy. Not great how is served, but can be improved really easily. Add a spice fresh cracked pepper to the bacon and/or maple glaze, add a side of dipping sauce, salt the dang food screams every chef, and crisp up the bacon more so it's not chewy for the customer, don't toast the bun leave fresh to soak the juices. Fries: outstanding! Fresh cut and skin-on. Well done.
Great spot in Essex Junction for a brew and a burger located at "Five Corners" intersection. Large range of local and regional beers available on draft. All the burgers are great and large selection of appetizers. I always order Buffalo Wings! Sunday afternoon burger special is must during major sports seasons as they have TVs everywhere with each booth with own private tv you can control which station to watch.
Terrible service...waitstaff could not be bothered to get up from tables to greet customers. Our waitress was on her phone entire evening with an earbud in one ear perhaps why she made mistakes on our order? She sat at nearby table with head on her arm never bothering to ask if we needed anything, even after we had to get up to get up to get own ketchup. Add to that less than mediocre food that is quite overpriced and you have a dining experience that I would not recommend to anyone.
Our server was excellent. Could not have been made to feel less welcome on a Friday night by the bartender. We overheard the bartender tell our server “make sure they know that’s their last drink because I want to get out of here”. Then the bartender started turning off lights and tvs that we were watching. I have no intention of ever stepping foot in there again if that guy is there.
Quick friendly service. Sat at the bar. Clean and relaxing. 4 big screens directly in front of us, and many more everything in the bar. I had the Emerald Isle Soup. It was outstanding. Better than any French Onion soup I've had, and I do like French Onion. We split 12 wings, 6 with a Bourbon sauce and 6 with a Thai sauce. Wings were somewhat meaty; not skimpy. Perfectly cooked and tasty. Very good selection of local craft beer on Tap. I enjoyed a Burlington Beekeeper IPA and a Maine Dinner IPA. Parking: Free Parking Lot in the back. drive clockwise around the building to find it.
My husband and I went there last night to eat, I had fish sandwich with fries, the fish was so coated with fried batter could not tast the fish, the fries were greased soak, terrible, very unhappy! The prices have gone up. $16.00 for a fish sandwich, and my husband's hamburger. Also we each had a beer. The bill with tip was$65.00.
Bartender service is awful. The girls lallygag around on their own time without paying any customer attention. Plan to take much more time than expected if you go. I won't go back again.
Previous review. Liked the bar and patio area. Beer selection is very good, the reason I go 90% of the time. The food I have had there is your typical bar food, not bad at all. The employees were friendly and efficient. I will go back again, probably to drink a pint. Went back: service was okay, bartender or waiter messed up beer orders, but fixed them. Food was very meh. Meh^2. Onion rings were way overcooked. Wrap was nothing to brag about. Boneless wings were chicken-flavored-cardboard. Remotes for booth TVs don’t work correctly. Could be a great place with good management/leadership.
Cold beer, nice tunes, and great outdoor seating. Wait staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. That's where the good about this place ends. The food was completely forgettable. Hubby got the fish and chips ... way over fried fish and soggy fries. Got the nachos with the soy based meat ... the cheese was melted but cold and the "meat" was a patty they chopped into huge chunks. My fried chicken with maple mayo was good. Also, I asked for a water with my cider and never got it. Won't be back.
Very disappointed with my last meal with them...ordered a wedge of iceberg lettuce and got romaine leaves stack... not the flavor that I'm used to... if you don't have it tell me so i can order something different... the fries were old and soggy with a lot of oil... chicken syrups looked like they were refried as well...wouldn't recommend them with that kind of service!
