We hosted my sister's bridal shower at the McFarland House and can not say enough about the amazing staff, venue and food. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to host a private event or just looking for a delightful afternoon tea experience.
Great place to visit the tour was very informative just so amazing to see the history places of Niagara on the lake area
Located in a beautiful spot on the pathway beside the lake. The house has been well restored and maintained. We took a tour and our guide Owen, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate making the experience all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the tea conservatory is currently closed due to covid but they are hoping to have it back and running for next season. Tea and scones are still available but you have to enjoy them in the beautiful park outside instead. We will definitely stop in again next time were over this way!
Free parking at the time of writing with a small playground a few yards away. Mixed use path runs close to house. Cyclists will appreciate lock racks, air pump and repair stand.
We didn't tour the inside just walked around the outside. It was nice to read about some history and see this historic site. There is a small playground nearby to let the kids relax a bit. It was nice to visit this for a quick stop away from the main busy areas of Niagara.
Nice Afternoon Tea with my family recently. Staff dressed in period costumes, a/c so not too hot in glass atrium. Beautiful nature and garden as you walk in. Locally sourced fresh fruit was nice as well.
Had a wonderful lunch there! Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!
Delicious, fresh food! Service was warm and welcoming, and the tea selection was spectacular! An amazing experience overall!
We didn't actually go in, but my students sure had fun in the playground.
It's cute and the ladies there are very friendly and nice and there was a lovely view. The tea cups were stained understandable but also dirty. The afternoon tea was decently priced and the desserts were tasty. The cream for the scones was just runny tasteless whipped cream. There was a nice selection for the loose leaf tea, however, I wish there were descriptions for them.
