There was no lunch buffet, the restaurant was crowded with junk by the window and the bathroom had a wall of oil boxes. When reviewing the menu there wasn't much for combos, so I asked for the only dish offered on a sizzle platter and UT came our in a take away container and a small take away container of rice, when I was told it would be on a sizzle plate. The server forgot to bring out a soup when it was ordered for an appetizer and the food was extremely greasy. There was no option to change the meats in the combo plates. Very dissapointed compared to the service from 15 years ago.
I love may mei! Their food is always hot and delicious and their boxes are always packed. This is definitely my go to place while I’m home. I’ll make the 35 mins drive to town just to eat some may mei. Definitely recommend, we are regular customers
Best Chinese in town hands down. We've tried them all and have only been here 5 or so times but it's always been very very good and at a very good price! I am a college trained professional cook and made a living doing so for 17 years. Always fresh and yummy eats here! You can take that from a pro. Very very friendly staff to make it that much more enjoyable!
Everytime we go here the food is excellent. The staff are incredibly courteous and nice. Family owned and operated. Great buffet! They are always so accommodating. We've got a big family from Neepawa and Winnipeg, when my grandparents got a little up there in age they stopped doing the thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. So we would always meet here. For years we've been going. Right after my grandfather passed we were there for mother's day and having heard that he had passed they actually comped my grandmother's meal for her. Great food. Fantastic staff. Always clean!
The dry battered shrimp is amazing. Never knew shrimp could taste so good!

This restaurant is great, and the prices are very reasonable—you get a lot of bang for your buck. Unbeatable price for Lunch buffet. You will find most Canadian-Chinese food selection such as; Lemon Chicken, fried chicken, vegetable stir-fry, General Tso's chicken or ribs food choices are slightly different on the day and chef's choice, schezwan chicken, chicken ball, wanton soup, hot and sour soup, fried rice and noodle, etc. Buffet included ice cream, Jell-o and eclair. Friendly and attentive staffs. Eat local. Support your mom-and-pop store!
On the way to another city and visited this Chinese restaurant unexpectedly. Chatting with the nice lady…and just enjoyed the great food.
I really love the food at May Mei. The owners-servers are very friendly. Their chow mein is great as well as the breaded chicken wings. I always look for their zucchini with mushrooms. Really yummy.
