BBQ pork and duck are the best here. Roasted pork can be better if the skin can be more crunchy. A rare find to find authentic Hong Kong style restaurant this far out from Seattle. Will come back and recommend others to try. Came back after 2 months on a Friday early evening. BBQ stuff is still great but I would avoid ordering wonton.
My spot to get my favorite dish, beef chow fun, roast pork and BBQ pork but didn't get the BBQ pork today. The employee was nice. Tried the teas before. Clean place, lots of seating.
Never dine in yet, but always order for take out, waitresses are super friendly, our usual: sweet n sour bones, gon chaw ngao hodry beef chow fun, Singapore vermicelli, house fried rice, cha siubbq pork and siu ngap bbq duck sometimes. Never fails.
My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner. The food was amazing! I personally think it's the best in Federal Way. The S&S Chicken battering had this crisp that I've never experienced before. Such a delight. The Beef Chow Fun was also incredible best I've had and the Mongolian Beef was great but would like to see it spicier. Portions were a good size. Had a lot to take home. We will be back!
Food is okay. Their flagship item is the bbq pork and roast duck. Everything else seems just ok. The fried rice is mediocre and the meat they use for it is not the most fresh. Workers there are surly so don’t expect great service. Located in a big plaza so there is ample parking.
Ordered half a duck and a summer drink. I’ve had duck a few times and this one was pretty good! I especially loved the drink though. The prices are fair but the portions are big! The online pickup process is fast and while I never eaten inside, the restaurant seems clean although no music so it’s pretty quiet!
May May Hong Kong BBQ serves some of the best Chinese BBQs. It’s across the street from the Commons of Federal Way. The bbq pork has the perfect amount of sweetness, and the side pork has the right amount of salt. It used to be a bit salty. You can dine inside the restaurant or order takeout. Call the restaurant or stop by early since they run out of bbq from time to time. Being a New Year’s Day, I’m glad the restaurant opened, and I'm able to get 3 lbs of bbq pork, and all that’s left for side pork, which is like half a lbs. Price for the bbq pork is $12.95/ lbs., and the side pork is 13.95/ lbs. I paid $64.00, including tax and tips for To-Go. I want to give you a ballpark on the spending. I recommend this bbq place to anyone visiting the Federal away area. There's plenty of parking, and it's next to Domino’s Pizza.
Quality of food were above average, almost as good as what you can get from Chinatown. My low rating mainly is for their Togo foam boxes! Many restaurants already stopped using foam boxes for hot food, not here. Styrofoam is considered safe for food use when in a solid and in room temperature state. But foam containers do leach out chemicals when they come in contact with HOT foods! Eating the contents from a melted foam container one time is unlikely to cause harm. However, repeated exposure, which can be cumulative, can be a great health risk.
We've ordered from them twice now through Door Dash after trying at least 5 other places trying to find a decent Chinese restaurant. May May Hong Kong BBQ is definitely one of the BEST!! We ordered completely different dishes each time and everything was so good! Priced as expected and worth it!! RECOMMEND!Food: 5/5
