Such a beautiful decorated dinning room restaurant. Love the great view of Halifax ocean. A lovely robot brings food to your table that can talk to you. There is a nice private dinning room available, good for party or occasion. I dine in and get take-out sometimes. Food are improving. If you still haven't tried the food here. I highly recommend!
The restaurant is airy and beautifully decorated. The wait staff are well trained and very helpful. One young lady showed me where the washroom was as its not in the restaurant. The food was excellent and hot.
We have taken to eating here regularly because the food and service are consistently first rate. Portioning is good. I dropped a star because they tend to serve food only just hot enough on cold plates, somewhat rectified by asking them to warm the plates. Although in the casino, there is no need to use those premises - May Garden comps parking for $25+ meal costs. If you have note tried here I recommend them. Parking: Parking comped for bills $25 or more.
Arrived at 4:30 with a party of 5, waited for 10 minutes or longer to seated restaurant was not busy. Waited over 20 minutes for our order to be taken, 4 friends unexpectedly arrived and since we had a table for 10 we asked them to join us since our food hadn’t arrived. The waitress who did not return to our table with the 2 drinks we ordered appeared and advised our friends there would be an additional 15% service charge for having a group larger than 7! We then waited another 15-20 minutes for her to return to advise us that one of the menu items wasn’t available. Another choice was selected and we waited. The waitress returned and took our friends’ orders. 15-20 minutes later the robot waiter brought 4 meals for our original group, we had to get them off the robot. We then waited again and shortly after the waitress came back with two empty glasses of ice and said she forgot the drinks. The robot then returned with our friends meals and a waiter arrived to remove them from the robot. I then asked him where our missing meal was and our original group was done eating by this point. He left to check on it came back a few minutes later to say they were just going to cook it! I canceled it as it was now 6:05 and we had to go to our event. The gentleman apologized however I won’t be back and none of our group will. The service was terrible and I don’t think it was just at the waitress level. They were kind enough to not charge me for the meal we didn’t get as if it was compensation for the poor service and they announced they waived the additional 15% because we came in separately!! Thanks for nothing!
Very fast service! Food was awesome! Little bit more pricy than other local places, but the decor, service, food and atmosphere in general make up for that ten fold!
Great service and Nice the ocean view! Reasonable prices. I with friends got full bottles beer and shots only $4.5 for they happy hours.
I ordered food over an hour before closing, then an hour later they decide to cancel my order after it was already accepted & "being prepared". They tried to say there was no Uber drivers so that's why it got canceled , I then said okay no problem I'll come pick it up. The guy said ok come in 10 mins, I went , doors were locked up, lights out &, no one was there . HORRIBLE service & to lie right to me on the phone is ridiculous after I wasted my time & gas for an order that was suppose to be delivered waaaay before closing. NOT my fault. I can now see why the reviews are so low. I'll definitely gladly go elsewhere as everyone else should with service like this
Surprised to see a lot of these not so great reviews. I ordered the combo plate with sweet and sour chicken balls and rice, and also the Szechuan beef. The chicken balls and rice were very good, however it was the Szechuan beef that was really delicious and impressed me. I was delightfully surprised to taste lots of Szechuan peppercorns in it, it was also spicy without being too much. Really good!! I’ll be a regular now!
Hosted our Team Meeting at this restaurant tonight, THE FOOD was amazing and sooooo much!!!! Everyone took home food and highly recommend May Garden Special Ribs. Our server Rebeccah was so attentive and friendly, she made our experience second to none. This will be where we hold all of our team meetings from now on. Service was AMAZING.
Ordered food from here tonight, paid $35 for beef and broccoli, two springs rolls, and an egg roll because they forgot the rest of the order….
