I was first introduced to Donna's food last summer during a rooftop yoga event. She had some treats there. They were incredible. I was finally able to make it into her restaurant today. Got there around noon, not crowded. We ordered our food, sat down drinks and food was brought to our table. The environment is very spacious and calming. I enjoyed my time there. I do wish they had more comfortable seating. Overall it was a lovely time. Vegetarian options: Vegan
Friendly owner/chef, fresh ingredients, and bright flavors. I especially enjoyed the goat cheese and strawberry combination on the flatbread.
Although we got our food to go, we were pleasantly suprised at how large and inviting the dining area is; the menu is small to allow for changing weekly menu and fresh produce. We got the Flatbread with vegan macadamia cheese, roasted veggie wrap and couldn't resist the lafayette for dessert. The only disappointment is that I can't get there more often, but I will definitely be trying to get to this hidden delicious gem whenever I can.
It was my first time there to pick up some vegan cookies for Christmas. They are amazingly delicious!! I cannot wait to go for lunch one of these days!! Thank you for being so kind even through the chaotic rush of Christmas orders!!Food: 5/5

Great food and atmosphere! It's a lovely open space and as someone who is looking to reduce how much meat they eat the options were great. There are choices that are Vegetarian and vegan as wells as sweet or savory.
Maximum Zen cafe, located on Davis St, in the same building as Jaya Yoga, is an absolute oasis in Clarks Summit. This place is something special. The food - savory or sweet - is just outstanding. Everything is absolutely delicious, and, not only that, the textures are perfection which is not easy to do especially with her gluten free options. Her crusts are flaky, her cakes moist, her cookies crispy outside and soft inside, her sauces exquisite. I have eaten in many days in a row, taken out food for later to have with my family, and tried a huge array of things, and there was not anything that was not delicious. Don't miss this fabulous, warm, welcoming kitchen with from scratch foods literally just coming out of the oven in front of you, or cooling on the counter. The portions are just right, the prices are fair, the menu is delightful and unique and full of locally grown, quality ingredients. If Maximum Zen cafe was in NYC, the line would be around the block and Donna would be featured on magazine covers. Can't believe how lucky we are to have this gem in town! Get to Davis St ASAP and tell all your friends.
