We were there yesterday - 170825. Frequent visitors, our experience has been uniformly positive. Friendly staff. The food is down to earth, and very well prepared. The fried chicken is second to none. Maxwell's offers a number of buffets at different prices on the weekend, including the top of the line sea food buffet. We've yet to attend that one, but it is on our list.

We had the yummy buffet. It was all really good. The prime rib was excellent and so was the shrimp. Our friends had the chicken dinner and raved about it on the way home. We'd go again for sure.

A gem out in the middle of nowhere. Drove an hour to get there, and believe it or not...it was worth the drive. The buffet was perfect. Fewer selections than most, but unlike most, every selection was a wonderful experience. No loss leaders here.
As strange as it may seem, this multi-purpose restaurant, the cultural center of this rural area, has a remarkably strong food game.
One of those places you would never consider going because it's too far out, until you try it.
Then...you understand why someone would go that far.

Maxwell's has a locally well-known buffet that they run on the weekends. We went for the seafood buffet. In general it was reasonably good. The crab legs were well done and overall it was quite nice. I thought the price for the meal was a bit more than I would have expected, and the variety of seafood was somewhat limited, but overall it was a great evening and we enjoyed our meal.
The wait staff was very nice and we had multiple servers helping to make sure we were happy with our evening.
Not for the budget minded, but certainly the nicest place for literally miles around.

Great Chicken & Fish On Friday Nights. Has casual side & dressy side. Great desserts.
