I had a piercing done at Mauve by Pat, and the whole experience went really well. The staffs are very professional, and everyone took all the time needed to answer my questions. Everything is explained in a very clear and transparent way. That includes the booking/deposit process, the price and how the piercing is done. The location is spotless and shows that everyone cares greatly about your health. While initially nervous about the whole thing, I quickly felt at ease and comfortable. All the steps were explained to me, and any questions I had were answered. I recommend Mauve, and I will go there for any piercing I want in the future. Thanks!

Pat was extremely professional, you can tell he's been doing this for a long time and has a lot of experience. He guided me through the whole process and kept explaining what he was doing every step of the way. This was my first experience with the studio. We had 2 appointments. Seems common for places similar to these now to require a non-refundable deposit for services not yet rendered. While I understand partially, this place has a high ask upfront. To me $50 per piercing is outrageous so for example, if you’re getting your ears done that will require a $100 deposit. After moving my appointment around a bit including one cancellation day of for a piercer who called in, I missed my appointment. Completely my fault as I got my time confused/wrong. They called a few minutes later to let me know. I explained and asked if we could please reschedule. They said yes but that our deposit would be forfeited. Why on earth would I start the process again for a place not willing to be at all flexible? I will as though we were when they had to cancel last minute on us. While it was our fault, I think as a one time courtesy it would have been nice to reschedule. After all, isn’t getting a full amount better than keeping a deposit yet loosing a customer? If you don’t mind this kind of rule, then good for you but I hate!

I got a few piercings before but this is by far, the best experience I ever had ! The staff is incredibly professional and super friendly. I highly recommend this place to everyone ! Thank you Ambroise and Pat, I will come back for more projects !Service: Ear piercing

I have gotten piercings here and will definitely get more. I have found the team at Mauve very welcoming. I don't even feel like a client but more like a friend. Pat is very knowledgeable. The reason I trust him it's because he is clearly well trained and experienced in the field. Yes it is pricey but for the quality of the whole experience is definitely worth it. See you guys again soon!

I have kept being disappointed here. There is a lot of turnover in the staff and the friendly faces I really liked have all quit. The owner is quite cold, and positions himself as an authority. He pierced my septum through the cartilage. 6 weeks in, I was still bleeding and having migraines, so I asked for a redo. He was somewhat agressive and refused because he had "given me a great piercing". Another time he got very loud with me at the counter in front of clients and staff because I asked about Fakir intensives piercing classes, which I found unprofessional. When I posted my rating originally, he sent me an email demanding I ID myself and justify my rating. Like, Woah. The jewelry options are very few. It's a shame, the piercing scene doesn't leave a lot of good options in Montreal.

Mauve's staff is unfriendly, and make the sometimes nerve racking experience of getting a piercing even more terrifying. If you want to get 2 gold lobe piercings with their cheapest gold earring it is $400. The cheapest earrings you can get for lobe piercings still comes to a total of $250 including a $100 deposit. These prices might be justifiable if their service was better, but unfortunately it is terrible. Tattoo Lounge which is right nearby charges around 150 TOTAL for two lobe piercings- no deposit needed and they have spectacular service. I highly recommend you go there. At Mauve, no info was given before placing the deposit, no pricing was explained or offered. You have to cancel 2 business days in advance to not lose your deposit. You have to go into a room alone with the piercer and no friends are allowed for comfort. Nothing about the way they do business is friendly, helpful, or understanding. As a customer I was left completely in the dark, I cancelled my appointment the day of once I found out the pricing. The person that was supposed to give me my piercings had a pressuring attitude and was overall very unkind. This is most definitely not the place to go to for a first piercing or for someone who may be a little anxious, but I would also say this is not the place to go to in general. If Mauve is going to charge so much money for piercings, they should at least offer kind and professional service to their clients!! The vibes are cold and unwelcoming, not at all the kind of atmosphere you want for something as exciting as getting pierced! There are soooo many good piercing options in Montreal. PLEASE never go here.

Amazing selection of beautiful jewellery and friendly professional staff. I wanted 3 pieces and they had everything I was looking for. Pat was really friendly and took his time to explain everything. Though I did feel bad that I was walk in and I ended up holding up a bunch of people with appointments. Overall I was there for about 2 hours to get 3 pieces changed and I feel this could have been more efficient or communicated better, but I would definitely go back again.
