Mattu's Coffee & Tea

I live in the neighborhood and I have been frequenting this coffee shop on the way to work early in the morning. Sometimes I bring my wife and kid in the weekend. The location is convenient with lots of street parking. The layout is lovely with tons of tables. Their coffee is not the best in town but of decent quality. I have two observations: 1- sometimes the service is lacking specially early mornings when there’s just one person working. 2- sometimes the ladies not all - but at least one or two of the 5 ladies I’ve seen work in this place seem extremely indifferent and unfriendly. I know people can’t pretend to be happy 24/7 and we all have our issues but a subtle smile goes along way. I hope they improve. We really want to support local businesses so help us help you :

Nice spot. A classic coffe shop + they also have a bubble tea and ice cream menu. I had a flat white with oat-fudge. Both were good but nothing exceptional. Nice music at the back. Very friendly staff. Free and convenient parking.

My first time here and 1st coffee and I love it. Good coffee, sandwiches, and seating area inside and outside. Lots of free parking, restroom, and wheelchair accessible.

Ordered a boba milk tea, received boba milk tea. How did they make the said boba milk tea? They literally put milk + tea and dropped in some boba pearls which may as well be Hampster eyes because they were dry in the inside.

Great Cafe! I love Mattus they have very nice staff, quick service, and yummy hot coffee. I’ve never had a bad moment here. A little pricey is the only thing but other than that their great!

Iced coffee is absolutely terrible and inconsistent. Often times far too sweet. The staff seems to be unfriendly, cold and unsure about the items offered. I enjoy the convenience and the location is spacious.

I can’t comment on the coffee, but the person working behind the counter this morning was totally rude and unwelcoming…and you don’t sell a freakin macchiato in a coffee shop??? You’re unable to add a little milk to a couple shots of espresso?! Some places are just clueless and deserve their inevitable fate. Hopefully a real coffee shop opens in this complex soon.

They don't have their milks, creams or sugars available to the customer but act like it's an inconvenience when you request one. I ordered an Americano with milk and I didn't get it. I said excuse me can I have some milk and the woman sighed and turned around without a word. I get it, your busy.. but maybe make it accessible for people then? We don't all drink black coffee.

A great experience. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The cheese and ham quiche was very tasty as was the apple strudel. They have a huge variety of coffees and teas. I had their hot chocolate which, personally, I felt could be more chocolatey. It was a tad milky for my personal taste. The restaurant was clean and well maintained

Extremely bad experience Willoughby branch. Staff don’t know how to smile and NOT friendly. I ordered a veggie samosa and when served, it’s cold. Will NEVER comeback and will let all my friends know about the terrible service provided.
