This lodge is simply incredible. We found it because we wanted to spend a night close to Matanuska Glacier. However we definitely wish we had spent a few more nights! The property is so well cared for and there is an obvious attention to detail throughout. We stayed in the Matanuska room and enjoyed a luxurious fireplace. Oh and the breakfast!! So delicious and obviously so much love poured into it. Do yourself a favor and book a few nights here.

This was a last minute reservation and i had no idea i had just booked a 5 star room with amazing people. the view is amazing, the hot tub and bath robes are all unique and make you feel right at home. they have water sports, a game room, and a workout room. you wake up to homemade breakfast and you might even see a moose and or mountain sheep while eating. i would recommend Matanuska Lodge to anyone looking for an adorable 5 star experience. ps. they have complimentary candy all over the place.

We stayed here for a couple of days. The onwers have maintained this place really well. The breakfast served in the morning is so good. The place is quiet close to the glacier and other restuarants.

Having stayed in luxurious rooms before but this one is something very rare kind of place. Each and every corner you will find some piece of art. Rooms are spacious with huge bathroom and beautiful mountain views from all the windows. During winter option of food is limited to only one nearby place which is open till 6 pm. So be prepared for food. Overall a wonderful place to stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I would say adjust your trip in such a way you get chance to stay here at least a night.

Gracious hostess; excellent chef; exceptionally comfortable lodging with a view of lake and glacier. We felt well cared for and pampered during our entire stay.
