I've never been to the physical location so I can't comment on that I ordered takeout but I can say the food was delicious! It was warm and flavorful and smelled amazing, I would absolutely eat from here again. My only minor complaint is that I wish I had gotten a little more chicken with my butter chicken the sauce to meat ratio was a little off, but it was still a pretty good value for what I paid. The naan was fluffy and soft, and the samosas were perfectly crispy and delicious.
Amazing food with great service and good portions. Beef biryani ,Masala Dosa ,Gobi65 , lamb karma and chicken chettinad were all very good. Dosa was just like taking you back to India. A must try in down town Halifax
Went in on a Monday for lunch. Asked the server is dine in open. She said yes. Sat on one of the tables. She gave us the menu. I asked her if I need to show my vaccine and she was like okay! So we read the menus, seems like they have good amount of options. Ordered a plain dosa, paneer dosa and paneer 65. Paneer 65 came out in like 15 minutes. It was literally coated and fried and served with a sweet chutney. Not sure how that works and did not enjoy it at all. Also, I had to ask the server if we would be getting some cutlery. Then came the dosa with sambhar and some yellow chutney. Plain dosa was super thick and sambhar was bland. Literally the worst I’ve ever had. Okay, then tried the yellow chutney which was not bad. The server never came to ask how the food was. Then I had to ask one of the cookswho was out of the kitchen to come and told him that I won’t be able to eat this dosa since it’s not edible. The cook said they would not be charging me for the dosa. Assuming it was a South Indian restaurant, we ordered dosa and it was just a disappointment. One of the pictures shows how much food we gave back. Anyway, I ordered a kerela chicken biryani to see if atleast that’s good. Paid the bill at the counter and left. Came home, heated the Biryani and had the raita first which was pretty delicious given how other food tastes from the restaurant. Tried the Biryani expecting it might be spicy. It was literally sweet. And the masala from it have a little spice for the after taste but still very disappointed. This is literally the worst dine in experience I’ve ever had in Canada and I do not go complaining you can see my other reviews. But where it has to be said, it has to be said. WORST SERVICE EVERY. I’ve never seen a server so negligent and uninterested ever. Would never return.
I ordered Chicken dosa and Hyderabadi Biriyani. The taste of the Chicken dosa was fabulous. But it would be great if they would provide “yogurt” and “chutney” as side dish. And it would be great if the Hyderabadi Biriyani would be a little bit more spicy. Other than that, the food was really yummy. I will definitely go there again to have the chicken dose. Loved it.
The food is good. But it only goes south from here. One person waits for all the tables and handles take-outs too. The restroom needs a lot of work. There was no soap, hand towels were empty, and they were using the thinnest TP ever, thin you can see through it. Edit: raising the rating as the takeaways are worth the money and the food have authentic taste.
It won't be an overstatement if I say that I ate the worst Indian food of my life from this restaurant. Everything was so off that I wondered who cooks the food and who okays the quality. Ordered masala dosa, aloo paratha, and paneer 65 using ubereats. Food came late than estimated and everything was cold. Masala dosa had no masala in it and the potatoes were not even mashed. There were literally four tablespoons of sambhar and coconut chutney was more watery than my eyes in Halifax winds. Aloo paratha was flavorless and the filling was uneven half of the paratha was plain dough. Paneer 65 was harder than croutons and I was unable to eat more than two pieces. Feels so bad to see an Indian restaurant serving such poor-quality Indian food.
The dosa and uthappam were good. Also got the vegetable korma and kadai paneer but they looked and tasted the exact same...
Fantastic food. Nicest Kerala style chicken and beef curries I’ve had in a long time.
Reached there at 10.35pm, as I saw it is open till 11.30pm. Well, they said dine in is closed at 10.30pm- now only takeout is available. That is fine, except there were three other groups in 3 tables waiting for there food to arrivedine in. Well, placed our order for takeout, and waited while we saw many delivery orders go out, many dine in orders served. Finally, I feel lucky that I got my food at 11.28pm, just 2 mins before they were closing after waiting for 48mins. But after all this, I got a combo of 'black-pepper' fried rice and chilli 'hard rock' paneerliterally 3 pieces in a kids portion, although the price I paid would not say so. I wish I had ordered it from a delivery app- would have gotten it faster, and could complain about the worst quality of food that I got. Do not waste your money, for half-portion of bad tasting food. You can get anything, literally anything better than this.
Worst indian food restaurant i ever eat in my life. Spend $95 and get worst food. Skipthedishes shows same order for $65 but they charged me $95. Who make yellow garlic naan. If google showed me stars in minus i will give that.
