The Kids Spaghetti & Meatballs were probably my favourite item I had here. Personally the pizza crust was good but the pepperoni on the Pepperoni pizza disappointed. The Beef Stripline was very salty which I'm usually a fan of extra salt but in this case it was too much for even me. I did like the potato squares that came with it and the mushroom side was good but had a very strong vinegary flavour which grew on you the more you ate but I think when combined with the salt in my main wore me out. The hostess was really great and our server was good. Their cocktails were super strong, which is good and bad depending.
We were staying at the Best Western hotel in Nelson BC so we tried Marzano attached to the hotel. They have a wood fire pizza oven so how bad could it be. The food was delicious but the value for money spent was not there. We had a couple appetizers, 2 pizzas and a few drinks 4 in total. We followed it up with an affogato and a semifreddo for dessert.nnThe 3 meatballs in the $14 appetizer seemed a tad high and that was during happy hour. Overall the food is good the atmosphere open and comfortable but not easy on the wallet. For a special night out celebrating you can’t go wrong.
Food was good. With an expensive wood oven like that of course I was going to try the pizza! Should have asked for the servers pizza recommended but instead went with the prawn pizza and was not a fan but I know with a pizza oven like they have I'm confident they make stellar pies based on the nice crust as well. I will be back to try a different pizza though
Best Italian in The Kootneys!! Incredible location and beautifully designed dining room and kitchen / bar. Authentic wood fired pizza oven, and amazing menu. Burrata salad was delicious along with the gnochi and Rigatoni. Awesome customer pizza and great wine selection. Highly recommend to buy the new swag!! Ps Ryan is awesome!
Order the polenta fries and you won't be disappointed. The grilled squid was also a winner in our books.
