First time in Marquette. First place we visited was Harbor Lighthouse. Partner thought it looked like the one from the movie fog. Very colourful Lighthouse which absolutely stands out. The views of Lake Superior from the Lighthouse rocks are just amazing and definitely a must do.
Great lighthouse to visit on our tour and it was well worth the price of admission. Beautiful lighthouse and Marquette is beautiful when you turn around and look back at the harbor and city. Grounds are in great condition and we just really enjoyed our time there.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
Didn't get a chance to go in but the lighthouse is gorgeous just to see it. I went to the beach by McCarty's Cove where it's grassy to view it and also parked at the Marquette Maritime Museum and walked behind there to view it from the other side.
This was a pretty neat muse and the lighthouse tour was pretty informative. Lots of history on the area and Lake Superior. Well worth the time
Absolutely beautiful views of Lake Superior surround the lighthouse in Marquette. From the public walking path you are able to view this beautiful historic treasure in 180’ view!! Also walked out on a jetty by the coast guard to view the lighthouse from another cool perspective! Also…watch for an amazingly cool sign embedded into a tree off the public walking path that warns not to trespass on coast guard property that has been on there since 1866 when this lighthouse was built or even prior when the old lighthouse was still around. So happy we got to see this stunning historical place!
It was a warm day when we were there. So the parking was difficult but worth the wait. Light house was pretty and the beach was cleanVisited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
Very beautiful. It was a calm day when we traveled; so the lake was fun.
Go to the Maritime museum and do the lighthouse tour. It was great! Seeing the inside was pretty neat. Going out into the catwalk made for some good views. Bad news is due to lead paint you cannot walk up to where the light is, but it is still interesting to see the inside.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
It was in the 20s when we visited and there was a guy out on the icy water! Seems like a nice place to visit but I'm inside if you can enter the lighthouse. We stayed near the beach.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Definitely worth the cost and easy to loose a few hours sinking into Lake Superior history…Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
