I read the reviews and they are so mixed. I had a wonderful peaceful time here. This place is huge. Sites are large. Close to the lake and beach. Lots of walking areas. The store has tons of things for the little ones. And also a liquor store for the adults and is stocked pretty good. Laundry mat is clean and my clothes are actually clean now. They work very well
Clean, seemingly safe camp grounds. Whether for summer or all year round. Property is well maintained and friendly staff. The peoples who visit seem decent as I am sure there is trouble and crime everywhere, here I have not become aware of any issues. This place has upgraded various features and they always have fun themed events, they fundraise, it has a lau dry mat and shower area. It has a corner store and express liquor store. There are golf cart rentals and many free or affordable activities for children and families to do. For a year and a half we have been here, and for someone who has never camped, never experienced travel trailers or that life style: it's been fairly smooth given some for the bumps I encountered with my unit. There is a RV repair/maintenance office here and they have helped me for an array of issues many of times. Most of the time it was a legitimate repair needed but even when I called and they came to assist me, even if they ran the propane leak test and my machine passed; I still smelled propane though. They addressed my concern, proved it was safe, took a look and reassured me to call if I encounter that or any other problem. I have all the detectors and such in my unit, they didn't alert but I was still smelling propane which was a new phenomenon. My daughter and I both smelled it and it was so gracious that the maintenance personnel came to look, smell and run official test for me to be sure and safe. I am so greatful. They understood my inexperience required a second opinion and a handy hand. This place has been most welcoming and hospitable. I really like the dedication of the staff, you tell they care about this place and the people who live, visit and use these spaces.
My family has been camping here for over a decade. The park has grown significantly since then. Everything you may need during your stay is on site. The water slide and mini golf is no more but they have added other amenities. It feels like an exclusive RV park with the owners limiting public access as well.
If I could review it a 0 I would. Marine Park used to be great when you could go in for the day, go on there water slide ride, play some mini golf, and rent a pedal boat. If you are afraid of a good time fear not!! for those days are no more. No more day passes, no more slide, no more mini golf, and for now no more boat rentals. Don't bother with a season beach pass to their boring pond, just go to one of the many free swimming ponds in Torbay, Flatrock, Pouch Cove or elsewhere nearby.
Checked website for details and it said it cost $20 per car load. Planned a day there, got up super early made a few trips around to get snacks and beach things. Drove a half hour to be told it's $75 per car load. They could have at least updated their website as people rely on this for information before making plans. Safe to say we walked back out and went somewhere else. The family in front of us did as well. Sorry but I'm not paying $75 to go to a beach. Summer pass or not, most people don't want that. I know I would only go once per season, MAYBE twice. Ruined our plans and day completely!
Great spot! Friendly helpful staff. Definitely would stay here again.
Only visited for the afternoon and seemed like a nice spot for swimming and hanging out by the beach on a warm day, but the washrooms were pretty gross toilet paper all over the floor - clearly not recently cleaned and the grounds didn't seem to be kept up very well. The entrance wasn't staffed and didn't have any signage so I had to drive back to the store on the corner to ask to get in to visit our family members staying there. The girl at the cash said to call whoever we were visiting so they could come let us in at the gate. This is a bit inconvenient, especially since the cell phone reception is bad. Nice spot overall, just needs some work on customer service, staffing, signage, cleanliness, and grounds maintenance.
Enjoyable place. Far bigger than I first thought, lots of amenities in range. I really liked that there was a snack shop right at the beach, wish more places had that. If you own an RV definitely a good place to stay. They have golf carts available to rent as well, little pricey but if there's a bunch of you it's certainly worth it.
I would give this place a 0 if I could. Checked online, said welcome to all even without campers, Planed out our entire day for there, drove 45 mins to get there only to be turned away because I never had an rv or camper. Called and questioned about how online says its opened to all and was told that only online mobile isn't updated. Everything else is. Completely unacceable.. 90% of the population use their phone to check open statues on businesses such as this so why would they update one online source but not all of their online sources? Will never attempt to go to here ever again. Had a whole disappointed family!!!!!!
Nice swimming area, good food and concession stand. Mini golf is looking old and tired, needs a spruce up. The slide has been a work in progress for years now, not sure when they will ever be a water slide.
