Marina's Taverna and Pizza

Food was good. However, my order of medium rare lamb paidakia came cold in the middle and more rare than medium. Waiter said chefs did what they could so I'm not really sure what that means? Calamari was delicious but the tatziki was lacking in any flavour. It taste like a mild sour cream. Overall it wasn't bad. Staff were friendly.

Absolutely amazing! Food was fast, fresh and fantastic. Great atmosphere and great staff. Had one of the platters and felt bad we may have been a bit messy but it was so tasty. Have heard great things about the pizza... will be back.

Over priced and tasteless food. The menu says rice and potato with each Entrée and on the same page they ask $5 for rice with Kalamari. It was all batter and lacked flavour. The presentation was the same as hospital food. The server was friendly and hard working.

First of all the food was really good. Lamb shoulder was tender and flavorful, the chef pizza was very tasty. The beef souvlaki was tasty but a bit tough. Now for the negatives. I read that its under new management and it really shows. The waitress was not attentive, forgot one of our dishes, and was not familiar with the menu. She was very nice but i can see why other reviewers were frustrated. I hope the service gets better because the food was really good!

There was only one server for a Saturday night; only 3 tables of customers. Server was friendly but unfortunately lacked serving skills. We ordered a platter for 2 but had to ask for 2 empty plates for each course. Some of the food wasn't bad but I have had much better. It was also cool inside; playing Indian music in a Greek restaurant?

Was here to eat on a weekend and was a little surprised when there were only 3 other tables in at six o'clock. We had eaten here before and the food was really very good but we had no idea that there was a new owner and is no longer what it once was. The calamari was deep fried to oblivion, tasteless and rubbery and was a premonition for the rest of the meal. Generally everything was overcooked, tasteless, or just very disappointing. How do you screw up a Greek salad anyways? Portion sizing was way too small. Another family that was there got up and left their table without eating when we started receiving our food, I can only assume they had been waiting too long. They were there before we were. The waitress we had was more than helpful but the manager wouldn't let her strike anything inedible from our bill. The manager wouldn't field complaints either, he hid in his kitchen the whole time and refused to deal with any of the problems we had here. Even after demanding he come out and talk to us. Do not eat here

I didn't realize this place had new owners. A couple years ago it used to be amazing. Went today and was terribly disappointed. Walked in and stood around for about 5 minutes with no staff in sight. When someone finally emerged she didn't acknowledge us for another minute, and when she did she didn't really say anything to us--just sort of pointed at a table and dropped off menus. It was very hot at the table with no AC on. We were the only table, yet service was painfully slow. It took 5-10 minutes for her to bring us water, and though we had clearly decided what we wanted to order by then she left before we had a chance to order. When she came back it had been about a half hour since we arrived. We had to repeat the order to her three times. Our pop didn't arrive for more than 5 minutes after ordering it, and the lasagna took around 45 minutes. She didn't check on us at all, and we didn't get any refills on our empty glasses until the food was done and it was time to go, at which point we had to hunt her down to request the bill. When we arrived there was no music in the restaurant, but at some point someone turned some on, but it was weird cover songs that didn't suit the atmosphere at all, and then the music stopped halfway through our meal.

My boyfriend and I went there. Place was almost empty so found that a bit uncomfortable and nerve racking as we have seen bad reviews but still wanted to give the place a try. We liked that there were no TVs as most places have them everywhere and can be very annoying. We barely understood the server and she didn't know which beer was on tap but she was really nice and attentive. We got the plater for 2 with the beef and lamb and it was really good, lamb was super tender the beef had good flavours. We also really liked the veggies with it. The salad was huge. So overall the atmosphere wasn't the best unless you don't want to be around other people but the food was good.

Went on a Sunday night with friends and the place was dead empty. The decorations are cheesy and cheap and need an update. The place appears more like a green house than a restaurant. The server was kind and attentive putting on music for us and turning on the A/C but we were the only ones there. The food was disappointing. I ordered the lamb souvlaki and it was tough and over cooked with little flavor. The sides rice, veggies, potato were fine but lacked flavor. For the price $20, I didn't think it was worth it. My friend ordered a side of pita with her food and it was stale and hard and inedible. Overall the food was alright but not great and not worth the money. The restaurant appears to be suffering and it shows. Sadly, I will not go back.

Terrible experience last night! Will NEVER go back there. The restaurant was absolutely freezing firstly. And it goes on from there. The only server in the place was extremely slow, did not know what she was doing.she would take a couple of orders from our large table and then wander away for 20 minutes, come back take a couple more. She had no clue how to pour draught beer..we had to show her. They were turning people with reservations away because they couldn't handle it. People were furious! We sat with empty glasses for an hour, some never even receiving a drink. I went back to see what was happening, they had only one kitchen staff who was extremely rude to me. He said our meals would take 3 hours to be prepared. Long story short...only the food for our kids came..and it was absolutely terrible! We paid...and left without the food. If you want great fresh pizza, go to Mambas it was fantastic!
